Mike Weir Joins CTV and TSN as a Special Guest Analyst for THE MASTERS, Beginning April 7

TORONTO (March 31, 2016) – With exclusive Canadian coverage of THE MASTERS coming to CTV and TSN next week, the networks announced today the addition of decorated Canadian golfer Mike Weir as a special guest analyst for this year’s Tournament. As the only Canadian to ever win the prestigious Green Jacket, Weir will compete in the 80^th edition of THE MASTERS, live on CTV and TSN from April 7-10, which joins the 60+ iconic championships that live on TSN. Following each round at Augusta National Golf Club, Weir will join CTV and TSN to contribute his unique perspective on the Tournament. Weir will also appear as part of daily panels on TSN’s SPORTSCENTRE.

His breakthrough year on the PGA Tour earned him the 2003 Lou Marsh Trophy as Canada’s top athlete of the year and the Lionel Conacher Award, given to Canada’s top male athlete of the year, an award he previously won in 2000 and 2001. In 2009, Weir was invested as a Member of the Order of Canada and inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. Weir has used his success as a platform for helping other families in need with the creation of the Mike Weir Foundation in 2004. THE MASTERS on CTV/TSN In December 2015, Bell Media announced a new media rights agreement with Augusta National Golf Club to become the exclusive Canadian broadcasters of THE MASTERS. Beginning with this year’s Tournament, full coverage of the third and final rounds of THE MASTERS will now be broadcast on CTV, Canada’s most-watched television network. The new agreement will also see TSN expand its broadcast window to start at 11 a.m. ET each day, offering multiple viewing options for THE MASTERS across TSN’s five national feeds leading into the traditional broadcast window. Additional highlights of the new agreement include:

• Multiple viewing options across TSN’s five national feeds, including Amen Corner, Holes 15 and 16, and Featured Groups
• TSN’s live coverage begins at 11 a.m. ET each day
• A comprehensive suite of digital assets for CTV, TSN, RDS, and Bell Media platforms
• Complete French-language coverage of the Tournament on RDS
