MONTRÉAL, QC – The Montréal Alliance is proud to partner with TSN 690 for the broadcast of 18 regular season games during the 2022 season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). “TSN 690 is excited to be part of the launch of Montreal’s brand new basketball team and the expansion of the CEBL,” said Chris Bury, Program and News Director, CJAD 800 and TSN 690. “By adding live coverage of the Montreal Alliance and the CEBL, we are further expanding our leadership as the prime radio destination for Montreal sports fans.” “From the very beginning of this wonderful adventure in the CEBL, it was extremely important to partner with a sports channel like TSN 690,” said Annie Larouche, Vice President, Operations of the Montréal Alliance. “The broadcast of Alliance games in English on TSN 690 will allow Alliance fans to listen to most of the team’s games, whether they are played at home or on the road.” The broadcast team will consist of TSN 690 commentator Moe Khan, TSN 690 commentator and former Canadian National team member Dwight Walton, and former McGill women’s basketball player Gabriela Hebert. The games will also be available for live streaming through iHeartRadio.ca, TSN.ca, and the iHeartRadio and TSN apps. Here is the list of games that will be broadcast on TSN 690:
  • Sunday, May 29 at 4:00 p.m. against the Scarborough Shooting Stars
  • Tuesday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. against the Ottawa BlackJacks
  • Sunday, June 5 at 4:00 p.m. against the Guelph Nighthawks
  • Wednesday, June 8 at 9:00 p.m. against the Stingers in Hamilton
  • Saturday, June 11 at 4:00 p.m. against the Nighthawks in Guelph
  • Wednesday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m. against the Niagara River Lions
  • Monday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. against the Edmonton Stingers
  • Friday, June 24 at 10:00 p.m. against the Fraser Valley Bandits
  • Sunday, June 26 at 4:00 p.m. against the Rattlers in Saskatchewan
  • Sunday, July 3 at 2:00 p.m. against the Shooting Stars in Scarborough
  • Thursday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. against the Hamilton Honey Badgers
  • Monday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. against the Fraser Valley Bandits
  • Wednesday, July 13 at 7:00 p.m. against the Nighthawks in Guelph
  • Friday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. against the Newfoundland Growlers
  • Sunday, July 24 at 4:00 p.m. against the Newfoundland Growlers

About the Montréal Alliance

The Montréal Alliance is a professional basketball team competing in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). The team will play all their home games at the newly renovated Verdun Auditorium. The Alliance opens their inaugural season May 25 against the Honey Badgers in Hamilton. The season, comprised of 10 home games and 10 road games, ends August 1 when the team faces the BlackJacks in Ottawa. About the CEBL

The CEBL begins its fourth season in May. A league created by Canadians for Canadians, more than 75 percent of its players during the past three seasons were Canadian, the highest percentage of any professional league in the country. CEBL players bring experience from the NBA, the NBA G League, top NCAA programs, the Canadian National team program, top international leagues as well as U SPORTS. All CEBL regular season games will be broadcast live on the free CBC Gem streaming service, cbcsports.ca, the CBC Sports mobile app and CEBL+.
