Beginning nextweek, Much and Comedy Gold celebrate the late, great comedic actress Marcia Wallace and her indelible contributionto the world of television. In honour of the award-winningicon, Much and ComedyGold will air marathon programming highlighting the best of Wallace’s on both THE SIMPSONS and THE BOB NEWHART SHOW. Beginning Monday, Nov. 4, Much viewers can tune in to THE SIMPSONS with the“Best of Mrs. Krabappel” marathon, with episodes airing each night from Monday, Nov. 4 – Friday, Nov. 8 at 9 p.m. ET, and four back-to-back episodesSaturday Nov. 9 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. On SaturdayNov. 9, Comedy Gold devotes an entire day to amarathon of THE BOB NEWHART SHOW, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. (with encores from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. ET/PT), in whichviewers can revisit, or get acquainted with, Wallace’s portrayal of acerbic receptionist, Carol Kester. 

Best known as the voice of Bart Simpson’s sarcastic fourthgrade teacher, Marcia Wallace won an Emmy® Award in 1992 for Outstanding Voice-OverPerformance for her work on THE SIMPSONS.
