TORONTO (February 12, 2013)– For the second year in a row, Canadians chose CTV’sETALKas their #1 source for coverage of the 55th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. With 853,000 viewers – one of its most-watched episodes of the year – more Canadians turned toETALKfor its coverage of music’s biggest night than ET CANADA (605,000), despite their exclusive coverage. Up 9% compared to the same episode last year,ETALKdelivered 41% more viewers than Global’s ET CANADA (down 12% vs. last year) and 10% more viewers than its head-to-head competitor ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT (777,000).
NationallyETALKalso led ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT by 10% in the A18-49 demo and 36% in A25-54. Against ET CANADA,ETALKwas ahead by 52% among A18-49 demo, and 89% among A25-54. Last night’s show also ranks amongETALK’s Top 5 episodes this season. In Toronto, Canada’s largest television market,ETALKdelivered a 2.9 rating for A25-54, compared to 0.7 for ET CANADA.
In its most-watched season yet, audiences forETALKare up 6% compared to last year. ETALK’s red carpet coverage continues withTHE OSCARS®onFeb. 24.
