TORONTO (March 31, 2020) – CTV announced today an expansion to its podcast portfolio with MARILYN DENIS DOES A PODCAST, a brand new podcast from multi-talented broadcaster Marilyn Denis, launching tomorrow, Wednesday, April 1.  From Bell Media Studios, the new original podcast brings Marilyn’s iconic lifestyle and entertainment topics to listeners at home, from her home. With the help of experts from THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW plus new special guests, Marilyn will engage in meaningful discussions to try to make sense of these extraordinary days. New episodes are available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are found. MARILYN DENIS DOES A PODCAST is a conversation-driven experience that explores the unprecedented times Canadians and the rest of the world are trying to navigate. On her debut episode, Marilyn is joined by family therapist Joe Rich, who gives practical advice on the challenges that are facing many families during isolation and explains how we can push the reset button on our lives when this is over.  Additional confirmed guests joining Marilyn remotely include THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW fan-favourites like Tuscan–based author and designer Debbie Travis, Tony award-winning actress Andrea Martin, New York–based TV personality Carson Kressley, travel and design expert Tommy Smythe (WHERE TO I DO?), real estate entrepreneur Scott McGillivray, celebrity stylist Joe Zee, New York–based author and TV host Daphne Oz , and more. “I’m at home and in isolation so there is no better time to start a podcast,” said Marilyn Denis. “I’ll be talking to some familiar people from my radio and TV shows, sharing great stories, conversations, and some laughs. It’s the stuff we talk about when the mic is off and during commercial breaks. You’ll get to know guests a lot better – you’ll be in on the conversation.” “Listeners are looking for a trusted voice during these times and Marilyn has the natural ability to connect to her audience,” said Nanci MacLean, Vice-President, Bell Media Studios and President, Pinewood Toronto Studios. “I always appreciate how our teams find innovative ways to share great storytelling and positive energy to the homes of Canadians, especially when they need it most!” As one of the most-trusted names in Canadian broadcasting, Marilyn has been the voice Toronto wakes up to for over 30 years as co-host of the CHUM 104.5 morning show. Marilyn also hosts THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW, airing weekdays on CTV. The series has won multiple Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Talk Program.  MARILYN DENIS DOES A PODCAST is produced and taped remotely, with Marilyn, guests, and producers all working from the safety of their own homes. MARILYN DENIS DOES A PODCAST is produced by Bell Media Studios. Michelle Crespi and John Simpson are Executive Producers. Nanci MacLean is Vice-President, Bell Media Studios and President, Pinewood Toronto Studios. Pat DiVittorio is Vice-President, CTV and Specialty Programming. Mike Cosentino is President, Content and Programming, Bell Media.
