TORONTO (January 8, 2014) – Much is set to deliver the best in pop culture this January with exclusive series launches, sarcastic sitcoms, and returning favourites, all premiering Wednesday, Jan. 22, starting at 10 p.m. ET.
Launching the not-to-be-missed block of pop culture hilarity is the Season 4 premiere of fan favourite WORKAHOLICS. Adam (Adam DeVine), Blake (Blake Henderson), and Ders (Anders Holmvik) are back as the hilarious telemarketer roommates who live together, work together, and party 24/7. In the premiere episode, “Orgazmo Birth”, the guys work out a deal with Montez to get tickets to an electronic music show, but plans change and they’re forced to attend his wife’s baby shower.
Executive produced by the über-talented Amy Poehler (PARKS AND RECREATION), viewers won’t want to miss the brand new series BROAD CITY. The web-turned-broadcast series follows the hijinks of two broke best friends, Abbi (Abbi Jacobson) and Ilana (Ilana Glazer) navigating their twenties in New York City. In the premiere episode, Abbi and Llana do whatever it takes to scrounge up enough cash to buy tickets to a Lil’ Wayne concert, everything from performing in Washington Square Park to stealing office supplies.
Much kicks the January blues to the curb with the premiere of Season 5 of the Emmy® Award-winning, ironic and irreverent comedy CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL. Poking fun at the medical drama genre, CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL features an impressive ensemble cast, including Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine, THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART), Ken Marino (EASTBOUND & DOWN, PARTY DOWN), Malin Akerman (TROPHY WIFE), Rob Huebel (BOB’S BURGERS, THE OFFICE), Henry Winkler (ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT), and more. In the Season 5 premiere, the staff must relocate to an American Army base in Japan. Steve Agee (JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE), Jon Hamm (MAD MEN), and Keegan-Michael Key (KEY AND PEELE) guest star.
