NEWSTALK 1010 Gives Away 1,000 Back-to-School Backpacks to Children in Need, August 23

TORONTO (August 16, 2017) – Succeeding at school can be more challenging for kids without the proper supplies. For the third year in a row, NEWSTALK 1010 is helping to even the playing field and making back-to-school brighter for kids in need by giving away 1,000 free backpacks filled with essential school supplies. On Wednesday, Aug. 23 beginning at 12 noon, NEWSTALK 1010 will hand out 1,000 fully loaded backpacks with school supplies from Staples to young students who received vouchers through one of the station’s charity partners, The Children’s Breakfast Clubs or Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada. Voucher holders are invited to attend one of the two separate event locations, outlined on their vouchers.
