TORONTO (August 24, 2015) – It’s that time of year when summer starts to wind down and kids prepare for their return to the classroom. Unfortunately, not every child is provided the same tools to succeed. On Wednesday, Aug. 26 starting at 10 a.m., NEWSTALK 1010 is giving away 1,000 free backpacks filled with essential school supplies in an effort to help even the playing field, making back to school brighter for kids in need. NEWSTALK 1010 is offering an opportunity to collect one free backpack per child from its giveaway headquarters at 277 Queen St. West, while supplies last.
