On November 12, Crave introduces its Holiday Collection, featuring a variety of holiday-themed movies, specials, series, and special episodes including: Elf, The Polar Express, Love Actually, Bad Santa, It’s a Wonderful Life, Jingle All the Way, HBO Max’s 12 DATES OF CHRISTMAS, MY GIFT: A CHRISTMAS SPECIAL FROM CARRIE UNDERWOOD, the Crave Original special A LETTERKENNY CHRISTMAS: THE THREE WISE MEN, and more. Additional titles will be added throughout November and December.
NOVEMBER 12 – SHOWTIME’s KEVIN GARNETT: ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE *Documentary Premiere*
  • Highlighting the remarkable career of NBA-great Kevin Garnett, SHOWTIME’s KEVIN GARNETT: ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE premieres Friday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. ET. The documentary follows the basketball star’s remarkable career and the pivotal moments that defined it. Garnett became the first high school player to be drafted by the NBA in 20 years – paving the way for future legends like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. His years with the Minnesota Timberwolves made him a superstar, but it was his move to the Boston Celtics that made him a champion, and cemented his legacy as a basketball icon. The documentary features a wide range of dynamic voices including Paul Pierce, Doc Rivers, Allen Iverson, and Snoop Dogg.
NOVEMBER 14 – SHOWTIME’s YELLOWJACKETS *Series Premiere*
  • Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror, and coming-of-age drama, SHOWTIME’s new series YELLOWJACKETS begins streaming this week. Starring Melanie Lynskey (CASTLE ROCK, TOGETHERNESS), Oscar® and Emmy® nominee Juliette Lewis (CAMPING), Emmy nominee Christina Ricci (Z: THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING), and Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable), YELLOWJACKETS follows the saga of a team of wildly talented high school soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team, to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past, and what began out in the wilderness is far from over. In advance of the official debut of the series on Sunday, Nov. 14, the premiere episode of YELLOWJACKETS is now available for preview on Crave.
NOVEMBER 14 – HBO Max International Original KAMIKAZE *Series Premiere*
  • KAMIKAZE is an eight-part drama from Denmark which follows fierce and charming 18-year-old Julie (Marie Reuther), who’s on a journey of rediscovery after losing her parents and brother in a plane crash. Suddenly, she finds herself alone in a large mansion with expensive cars in the garage, and, in theory, everything that most people only dream of: youth, beauty, and money – lots of money. But material possessions hold no value to Julie anymore and she is forced to search for a reason to go on. She embarks on a wild and turbulent trip that takes her from her native Denmark to the far corners of the world. The series is based on the novel Muleum by Erlend Loe. KAMIKAZE debuts with two episodes on Sunday, Nov. 14, followed by two episodes dropping each following Sunday.
NOVEMBER 14 – THE FREAK BROTHERS *Series Premiere*
  • Featuring the voices of Woody Harrelson, John Goodman, Tiffany Haddish, and Pete Davidson, the animated comedy series THE FREAK BROTHERS begins streaming Sunday, Nov. 14 with two episodes. Based on the cult-classic underground comic series of the same name, THE FREAK BROTHERS chronicles the escapades of a trio of stoner anti-establishment characters, including Freewheelin’ Franklin Freek (Harrelson), the paranoid Phineas T. Freakers (Davidson), the man-child Fat Freddy Freektowski (Goodman), and their cat (Haddish). When the gang wakes up from a 50-year nap after smoking a magical strain of weed in 1969, they must adjust to life with a new family in present-day San Francisco. The eight-episode series follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping Sundays.
NOVEMBER 15 – HBO’s A CHOICE OF WEAPONS: INSPIRED BY GORDON PARKS
  • Available Monday, Nov. 15 at 10 p.m. ET is the HBO documentary A CHOICE OF WEAPONS: INSPIRED BY GORDON PARKS. For decades, photographer, writer, composer, activist, and filmmaker Gordon Parks brought the human struggle for dignity, justice, and the alienation of the Black community out of the shadows, and to middle America on the pages of LIFE magazine from 1948 to 1972. As LIFE’s first Black photographer, his camera became an instrument of change – “a weapon” as he called it – to challenge the systems of racism and poverty, and to empower Black Americans with images that conveyed honour, resilience, and beauty. Directed by John Maggio (HBO’s Mr. Saturday Night), the feature documentary is executive produced by Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean and Alicia Keys.
NOVEMBER 16 – HBO’s SIMPLE AS WATER *Documentary Premiere*
  • From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Megan Mylan (Lost Boys of Sudan, Smile Pinki), the HBO documentary SIMPLE AS WATER premieres Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. ET. Epic in scope, but intimate and elegant in feel, SIMPLE AS WATER is a meditation on the elemental bonds between parent and child. A masterful look at the impact of war, separation and displacement, the documentary takes audiences into Syrian families’ quests for normalcy, and through the whirlwind of obstacles to building life anew. Filmed over the course of five years, in five countries including Turkey, Greece, Germany, Syria, and the US, Mylan’s sensitive camera reifies the universal importance of family.
