MUST-WATCH TITLES FOR NOVEMBER

NOVEMBER 4 – HBO Max Original Series HEAD OF THE CLASS *Season 1*

  • Get ready to head back to school with the HBO Max Original HEAD OF THE CLASS, streaming Thursday, Nov. 4. Inspired by the 1980s sitcom of the same name, HEAD OF THE CLASS revolves around a group of overachieving high school students who meet their greatest challenge, teacher Alicia Gomez (ONE DAY AT A TIME), who wants them to focus less on grades and more on experiencing life. Reprising her lead role as the ambitious and competitive academic Darlene Merriman, Robin Givens (RIVERDALE) plays a successful lawyer with a degree from Stanford and a single mom hyper-focused on setting her son up for success. Darlene might need a reminder of the positive impact an out-of-the-box teacher can have, but she’s fighting for the good of all students at Meadows Creek High as co-head of the Parents’ Association. All 10 episodes of HEAD OF THE CLASS drop on Nov. 4.
NOVEMBER 5 – IN THE HEIGHTS *Movie Premiere*
  • The creator of Hamilton and the director of Crazy Rich Asians invite viewers to a cinematic event where the streets are made of music and little dreams become big, when the critically acclaimed film IN THE HEIGHTS premieres Friday, Nov. 5. Lights up on Washington Heights. The scent of Cafecito caliente hangs in the air just outside of the 181st Street subway stop, where a kaleidoscope of dreams rallies this vibrant and tightknit community. At the intersection of it all is the likeable, magnetic bodega owner Usnavi (Anthony Ramos, IN TREATMENT, A Star is Born), who saves every penny from his daily grind as he hopes, imagines, and sings about a better life.

NOVEMBER 7 – SHOWTIME’s DEXTER: NEW BLOOD *Special Event Series Premiere*

  • Emmy® nominee Michael C. Hall returns as America’s favourite serial killer in the SHOWTIME® Special Event Series, DEXTER: NEW BLOOD, streaming Sunday, Nov. 7. Set 10 years after he went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the 10-episode limited series finds Dexter living under an assumed name in the small fictional town of Iron Lake, New York. Dexter may be embracing his new life, but in the wake of unexpected events in this close-knit community, his Dark Passenger inevitably beckons. The cast also features Jennifer Carpenter (DEXTER), Julia Jones (THE MANDALORIAN), Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love), Johnny Sequoyah (Believe), Jack Alcott (THE GOOD LORD BIRD), and Clancy Brown (BILLIONS). DEXTER: NEW BLOOD follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes dropping Sundays.

NOVEMBER 10 – Chinese Movies & TV Collection

  • Crave’s newest international collection launches on Wednesday, Nov. 10. The collection includes a selection of series and films from HBO Asia, plus additional series such as THE LEGEND OF HAOLAN, THE WOLF, MARTIAL UNIVERSE, and MASTERS OF…FILM. The Chinese Movies & TV Collection joins Crave’s recently launched Bollywood Bonanza Collection, which features movies and series in Hindi.

NOVEMBER 14 – SHOWTIME’s YELLOWJACKETS *Series Premiere*

  • Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror, and coming-of-age drama, SHOWTIME’s new series YELLOWJACKETS premieres Sunday, Nov. 14 at 10 p.m. ET. Starring Juliette Lewis (CAMPING) and Christina Ricci (CINEMA TOAST), YELLOWJACKETS follows the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls’ soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team, to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over. Additional cast include Sophie Thatcher (Prospect), Melanie Lynskey (CASTLE ROCK), Tawney Cypress (UNFORGETTABLE), Peter Gadiot (QUEEN OF THE SOUTH), and Ella Purnell (SWEETBITTER). YELLOWJACKETS follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes dropping Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.

NOVEMBER 14 – HBO Max International Original KAMIKAZE *Series Premiere*

  • KAMIKAZE is an eight-part drama from Denmark which follows fierce and charming 18-year-old Julie (Marie Reuther) who’s on a journey of rediscovery after losing her parents and brother in a plane crash. Suddenly, she finds herself alone in a large mansion with expensive cars in the garage, and, in theory, everything that most people only dream of: youth, beauty, and money – lots of money. But material possessions hold no value to Julie anymore and she is forced to search for a reason to go on. She embarks on a wild and turbulent trip that takes her from her native Denmark to the far corners of the world. The series is based on the novel Muleum by Erlend Loe. KAMIKAZE debuts with two episodes on Sunday, Nov. 14, followed by two episodes each following Sunday.

NOVEMBER 18 – HBO Max Original Series THE SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS *Series Premiere*

  • Created by Emmy nominated writer/producer Mindy Kaling (THE OFFICE) and Justin Noble (BROOKLYN NINE-NINE), the HBO Max Original series THE SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS begins streaming Thursday, Nov. 18 with two episodes. The best years of their lives are about to begin when four college roommates arrive at New England’s prestigious Essex College. A bundle of contradictions and hormones, these girls are equal parts loveable and infuriating as they live out their new, free lives on campus. The 10-episode series continues with three new episodes streaming November 25 and December 2, leading up to the final two episodes of the season on December 9.

NOVEMBER 21 – STARZ’s POWER BOOK II: GHOST *Season 2 Premiere*

  • STARZ’s POWER BOOK II: GHOST, the second book of the growing POWER universe, returns Sunday, Nov. 21. Season 2 brings high stakes challenges, and even bigger ethical dilemmas for the characters. Forced into the choice to take the life of his professor, Jabari Reynolds (Justin McManus, BLUE BLOODS), Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr., LUV) finds himself drifting further from that which he’s been fighting to protect: his family. With Tasha (Naturi Naughton, Notorious) in witness protection, Tariq knows he must sacrifice anything to save what’s left of his family. Unable to do it alone, he turns to those wielding power and influence: Davis MacLean (Method Man, THE WIRE) and his new partner, Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson, Saving Private Ryan), as well as Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate, Love Jones). All of these options come with a steep price, so it’s back to business with the Tejadas. However, with two murders involving Stansfield, Monet Tejada (Mary J. Blige, Respect) must question if Tariq is what’s best for her family. POWER BOOK II: GHOST follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes streaming Sundays.
