NOVEMBER 4 – CRIMES OF THE FUTURE *Canadian Movie Premiere*
  • From acclaimed Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg, and starring Viggo Mortensen, Kristin Stewart, Léa Seydoux, and Scott Speedman, the sci-fi horror-drama CRIMES OF THE FUTURE is set in a world where the human species must adapt to a synthetic environment, where the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice (Seydoux), celebrity performance artist Saul Tenser (Mortensen) publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances. Timlin (Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed. Their mission: to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution. Crave is also home to The Mind of David Cronenberg Collection, featuring Cronenberg classics such as The FlyCrashA History of Violence, and more.
NOVEMBER 4 – SHOWTIME’s SPECTOR *Documentary Series Premiere*
  • From SHOWTIME Documentary Films, SPECTOR is a four-part documentary series about music producer Phil Spector, and what happened on the fateful night when actress Lana Clarkson was shot dead in his mansion. Through the lens of this notorious crime, and the infamous trial that followed, the series peels back the layers of what actually happened that night, to tell the stories of both Clarkson, and the man who was convicted of her murder. All four episodes drop on Friday, Nov. 4.
NOVEMBER 5 – BROKEN: THE TOXIC CULTURE OF CANADIAN GYMNASTICS *Special*
  • Gymnastics is widely known as a sport of grace, talent, and precision, but increasingly, athletes are coming forward to warn that it’s also rife with abusive behaviour – leaving scars that may never heal. A special co-production between Crave, TSN, and CTV’s W5, the documentary follows Rick Westhead as he speaks with Canadian athletes aiming to break the silence on a culture of abuse.
NOVEMBER 6 – STARZ’s DANGEROUS LIAISONS *Series Premiere*
  • STARZ’s DANGEROUS LIASONS is a bold prelude of Laclos’ classic 18th century novel focusing on the origin story of how his iconic characters, the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, met as passionate young lovers in Paris on the eve of the revolution. This modern take on a classic story takes audiences through wonder and terror, beauty and degradation, seduction and deception in pre-revolutionary Paris. The series premieres Sunday, Nov. 6 and follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes streaming Sundays.
NOVEMBER 7 – Crave Original Documentary KINGS OF COKE *Premiere*
  • From award-winning investigative journalist, author, and filmmaker Julian Sher, the Crave Original documentary KINGS OF COKE chronicles the rise of one of North America’s biggest criminal organizations, along with the cops and journalists who relentlessly pursued its three leaders. For decades, Montréal’s Irish Mafia ran a cocaine trafficking network that sparked murders, mayhem, and corruption at the highest level of law enforcement. The West End Gang controlled the Montréal port that was central to the booming cocaine trade, and became powerful enough to deal on an equal footing with the Hell’s Angels and Italian Mafia. Based on the book, Montreal’s Irish Mafia, by journalist and author D’Arcy O’Connor, KINGS OF COKE is a searing look at Montréal as Sin City, and the men who put it on the global crime map.
NOVEMBER 7 – DON’T WORRY DARLING *Movie Premiere*
  • Directed by Olivia Wilde, and starring Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, the buzzy feature film DON’T WORRY DARLING debuts on Crave on Monday, Nov. 7. In the 1950s, Alice (Pugh) and Jack (Styles) live in the idealized community of Victory, an experimental company town that houses the men who work on a top-secret project. While the husbands toil away, the wives get to enjoy the beauty, luxury and debauchery of their seemingly perfect paradise. However, when cracksin her idyllic life begin to appear, exposing flashes of something sinister lurking below the surface, Alice can’t help but question exactly what she’s doing in Victory. The film also stars Wilde, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll, and Chris Pine.
