OCTOBER 17 – Max Original Documentary LOUDER: THE SOUNDTRACK OF CHANGE *Premiere*
- Multi-platinum recording artist, actress, and entrepreneur Selena Gomez and New York Times bestselling author and political activist Stacey Abrams formed a unique bond during the 2020 presidential election, and, on the eve of another election, LOUDER: THE SOUNDTRACK OF CHANGE marks a new collaboration for the duo. Premiering Thursday, October 17, the documentary champions the brave, bold, and unapologetic actions, both sung and spoken, of some of the most iconic female musicians of all time.
OCTOBER 18 – CTV Original CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING *Season Premiere*
- In Season 4 of CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING, Astrid faces the pressure of being the sole breadwinner while James struggles with being a stay-at-home dad. Parenting is more challenging and funnier than ever as the kids grow up and their exposure to the world expands. With more influences and experiences outside of Astrid and James’ watchful eyes, parenting becomes more complicated, involving more guesswork and investigations. CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING will be available on Crave the next day after airing on CTV, starting Friday, October 18.
OCTOBER 18 – HBO Original Comedy Series IT’S FLORIDA, MAN. *Premiere*
- From Danny McBride’s Rough House Pictures and Range Studios, this irreverent late-night comedy series brings to life unbelievable ripped-from-the-headlines tales of the Sunshine State – straight from the people who live there. Featuring interviews from everyday Floridians and playful recreations starring a rotating cast of actors and comedians, including Anna Faris, Jake Johnson, Randall Park, Juliette Lewis, Sam Richardson, Ego Nwodim, and more, this hilarious and outrageous series sheds light on the viral, wacky, and weird. Covering diverse topics – from mermaids to witches, extreme fantasies, and feral bunnies with equal parts humor and heart, IT’S FLORIDA, MAN. is a love letter to the beaches, backwaters, and especially the people of a misunderstood yet magical state. The six-episode season premieres Friday, Oct. 18 at 11 p.m. ET with subsequent episodes streaming on Fridays.
OCTOBER 21 – BORN HUNGRY *Canadian Documentary Premiere*
- An inspiring true story brought to life, BORN HUNGRY is a gritty yet life-affirming human drama about a young Indian boy who finds himself abandoned by his family in rural India, lost on trains and thousands of miles from home. Ultimately rescued and adopted by a Canadian family, Sash Simpson, now a Toronto-based celebrity chef returns to India armed with only blurry memories to find his lost family and reclaim his Indian roots. BORN HUNGRY makes its streaming debut on Monday, October 21.
OCTOBER 23 – HBO Original Docuseries BREATH OF FIRE *Premiere*
- In 2013, Katie Griggs, a millennial YouTube astrologer, rose to fame as the face of Kundalini yoga, opening the RA MA Institute in Los Angeles, donning a white turban, and reinventing herself as Guru Jagat. BREATH OF FIRE explores Guru Jagat’s evolution while chronicling the shocking secret history of Kundalini through its origins in the 1960s to its expansion in the United States and its presence in wellness circles today. Based on the Vanity Fair story by Hayley Phelan, “The Second Coming of Guru Jagat,” BREATH OF FIRE illuminates the culture of modern spirituality revealing complicated themes of cultural appropriation and the dangers of self-proclaimed gurus. The four-part documentary series premieres Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. ET with new episodes streaming Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
