NOVEMBER 1 – Crave’s Holiday Landing Page
- Crave launches its Holiday Landing Page featuring multiple collections to celebrate the festive season including: Family Favourites ( Seuss How The Grinch Stole Christmas), Evergreen Classics (Love Actually, Elf), Yes, It’s a Christmas Movie (Batman Returns, Violent Night), Winter is Coming (The Shining, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World), Christmas Vacation (A Paris Christmas Waltz, Merry Swissmas), Steamy Getaways (LOVE ISLAND USA, TEMPTATION ISLAND), Holiday Cheer (A Christmas Story Christmas, The Night Before) etc.
- Emmy (Lauren Collins, DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION, SLIP) wanted to hike the Appalachian Trail after her mother died, she was just really busy. But three years on now, her grief is catching up with her. As she questions her lipstick and life choices, her dead mother, Fern (Megan Follows, ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, REIGN), pops into her life to voice her opinions and tell her red really isn’t her colour. Even death hasn’t stopped Fern from being fabulous. Emmy is trying to live her best life, but how do you let go of something that is so present? With sharp wit and aching tenderness, MY DEAD MOM explores the complicated nature of grief through mothers and daughters, and death. From LoCo Motion Pictures, creator Wendy Litner, and executive producer Lauren Corber, the seven-part series is directed by Chandler Levack. Rounding out the cast are Rainbow Sun Francks (HIGH FIDELITY), David Reale (THE BOYS), Daniel Maslany (MURDOCH MYSTERIES), Daniel Kash (SLASHER), Jenny Raven (KIM’S CONVENIENCE, DESIGNATED SURVIVOR), and guest stars Matt Murray (IN THE DARK) and Naomi Snieckus (MR. D, Zombies). All seven episodes of the series drop on November 1.
- In this new eight-episode French Crave Original series from Richard Blaimert, Anna Brodeur (Julie Le Breton) returns to Québec after living in Paris in self-imposed exile for 10 years. Neither her mother Monique (Elise Guilbault), who had almost come to forget about the existence of her single daughter, or her best friend Patrick (Benoit McGinnis), or her ex-boyfriend Antoine (Patrick Hivon) knew where she was hiding. After so many years of silence, Anna discovers that reconnecting with the people around isn’t so easy, and rebuilding her life isn’t as simple as she hoped. Available in French with English subtitles, the first two episodes drop on Friday, November 1, with one new episode streaming on subsequent Fridays.
- The 90-minute Crave Original special NO REFUNDS WITH DARCY AND JER was filmed during a sold-out performance of Darcy & Jer’s tour. It captures the best of the duo’s comedy as they tackle topics ranging from mental health to the ridiculousness of modern life. The accompanying documentary HAPPILY EVER LAUGHTER: THE DARCY AND JER STORY offers a behind-the-scenes look at their lives, tour, and careers, and the magic of making people laugh together.
