Original Six Match-Up Featuring Boston-NY Rangers Highlights TSN’s Live Coverage of Conference Semifinal Series

TORONTO (May 13, 2013) – As the quest for the Stanley Cup continues, TSN tonight confirmed its broadcast schedule for the Second Round of the 2013 STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS, headlined by an Original Six showdown between the Boston Bruins and NY Rangers.

TSN has live coverage of the Conference Semifinal Series – Boston-NY Rangers and Los Angeles-San Jose – featuring the following players:
Boston: Playoff scoring leader David Krejci, Game 7 heroes Milan Lucic and Patrice Bergeron, and captain Zdeno Chara
NY Rangers: 2012 Vezina Trophy winner Henrik Lundqvist, playoff revelation Derick Brassard, and Rick Nash
Los Angeles: 2012 Conn Smythe winner Jonathan Quick, captain Dustin Brown, and Drew Doughty 
San Jose: Vezina Trophy finalist Antti Niemi, Logan Couture, and Patrick Marleau 

TSN’s coverage of the 2013 STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS continues tomorrow night (Tuesday, May 14) with Game 1: San Jose @ Los Angeles at 10 p.m. ET (see complete broadcast schedule below).

Action in the Boston-NY Rangers series kicks off on Thursday, May 16 with Game 1: NY Rangers @ Boston at 7:30 p.m. ET on TSN.

TSN also takes a look back at the opening round of the NHL Playoffs with itsFIRST ROUND IN 60 MINUTES special tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. ET, leading into live game coverage of the San Jose-Los Angeles series. The highlight show focuses on all of the biggest moments from each First Round series, with close attention paid to the match-ups featuring Canadian teams.

TSN’s live coverage of the 2013 STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS runs through the third round, with games also available live nationally on TSN Mobile TV.

The network’s Boston-NY Rangers coverage features play-by-play announcer Gord Miller and game analyst Mike Johnson, while play-by-play announcer Chris Cuthbert and game analyst Ray Ferraro call all the action in the Los Angeles-San Jose series.

NHL ON TSN host James Duthie is in the TSN Studio for pre-game shows and intermissions alongside Hockey Insiders Bob McKenzie and Darren Dreger, and analysts Aaron Ward and Darren Pang. Joining them during the Second Round are two current NHLers – Danny Briere of the Philadelphia Flyers and George Parros of the Florida Panthers.
