We’ve even had only four days to turn a wedding around! We are super lucky to have a great supportive team with our vendors and production that help us bring everything to life.  How involved are the couples you work with and how do you reflect their personalities/stories in your design decisions? Jessica meets with the couples first and really gets to know them, then they create a super detailed wish list, which really helps when Jess and I meet for our design brainstorm. Jess tells me all about the couple, what they’ve been through and why they’re so deserving of a redo. I go through their wish list and together we create a vision based on their personal style, but still staying true to our aesthetic. We also work to incorporate special moments or details from their relationship into the wedding so there are still surprises on the big day. What are some of the biggest challenges of planning a wedding when you aren’t physically in that city yet? Sometimes, there is limited availability for the decor and floral we envisioned as some cities just don’t have access to certain items so you have to quickly adapt by brainstorming alternatives or working with what’s available. Also some spaces look so different in person versus in photos so not being able to have a site visit before you start designing can be a touch challenging.  Why do you think it is so important for couples to have redo weddings after their first attempts have gone wrong?  I personally think it’s like therapy for the couples. A fresh start and a way to let go of any trauma and guilt association with their first attempt. There is something that happens after the redo, a shift that is like magic. It’s the magic of love! Why do you think you and Jessica work so well together as a team? How did you develop that relationship before and during the season? Jess and I both share a strong work ethic and love to go above and beyond for our clients.  We also have the same design aesthetic and taste when it comes to weddings which helps a lot. We love to laugh and have a great time which really helped us develop a bond.  How has this show impacted you personally and evolved your approach to wedding planning?  This show definitely made me a better listener and inspired me even more to create weddings that really reflect my clients’ style. I’m a big believer that you shouldn’t fret the little details on your wedding day and this show just proves that celebrating love with your loved ones is what matters the most so I encourage my clients to focus on that. And to have fun it’s a celebration after all!  The next all-new episode of I DO, REDO airs on Sunday, May 3 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV detailing the journeys of couples in need of fabulous wedding redos to celebrate the resilience of their love in front of their friends and family. In next week’s episode, viewers meet Jolicia and Adrian, who had abandoned their dreams of a big family wedding when enlisting in the army became Adrian’s only option to care for his ailing wife. Jessica and Caspar deliver with a dreamy beach wedding for this deserving couple.
