MONTREAL, March 6 2014 – During the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Trade Deadline Day, RDS proved once again that its team, its shows and its digital platforms remain the French-language reference in sport news.
While the competition was addressing the same topic, RDS recorded an average of 96 000* viewers, which is close to 5 times larger than its closest competitor.
Record breaking viewership for Le 5 à 7
Le 5 à 7 took advantage of this pivotal day in the NHL’s 2014 season to reach a record breaking viewership for the show, as an average of 141 000* viewers tuned in for detailed analyses and a recap of the day’s transactions.
Over 1 million visitors on RDS’ digital platforms
In addition, a large number of fans flocked to the internet to follow all the latest moves made by the NHL’s general managers. In the end, as we look back on the Trade Deadline Day itself, more than 1 million visitors were recorded on the different RDS digital platforms.
