This Friday, at 10 p.m. ET, RDS2 will kick off its coverage of matches from the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL), a new competition starring many of the world’s best men’s and women’s tennis players.
Unlike typical tournaments on the ATP and WTA tours, IPTL matches are played in teams. Divided into four groups, players face off in an intriguing round-robin tournament, with each of the five sets in a match featuring a different format: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles and past champions’ singles.
Yvan Ponton and Hélène Pelletier will handle the commentary and analysis throughout the tournament.
