RTDNA Names CTV NATIONAL NEWS WITH LISA LAFLAMME Best Network Television Newscast for Sixth Consecutive Year ### CTV News and Bell Media Radio Take Home Top Honours from RTDNA National Conference Gala

TORONTO (May 27, 2017) – CTV News and Bell Media Radio properties were honoured for excellence in electronic journalism during the annual RTDNA of Canada National Conference Gala in Toronto this evening. Before an audience of fellow electronic journalists and news managers, the RTDNA honoured CTV NATIONAL NEWS WITH LISA LAFLAMME with the distinguished Bert Cannings Award for Best Network Television Newscast for the sixth consecutive year. CTV Toronto took home the Bert Cannings Award for Best Large Market Television Newscast for CTV NEWS AT SIX, and CTV Kitchener was named Best Medium Market Newscast for the second year in a row. W5 took home multiple national awards, including the Trina McQueen Award for Best Television News Information Program. “CTV News is privileged to deliver to Canadians news they can trust,” said Wendy Freeman, President, CTV News. “Our national and local teams strive every day to deliver the highest quality coverage of the issues and events that matter, while upholding the best journalistic practices. On the radio front, Bell Media’s radio stations NEWSTALK 1010 (Toronto) received National Award honours, garnering the Peter Gzowski Award for Best Radio News Information Program adding to its regional wins.
