Small Chefs with Big Impact: MASTERCHEF JUNIOR Finale Cooks Up Series High on CTV

TORONTO (November 11, 2013) – Following MASTERCHEF’s most-successful season, and in advance of MASTERCHEF CANADA’s Winter 2014 premiere, CTV’s MASTERCHEF JUNIOR completed its first season on Friday night by cooking up a series-high 1.6 million viewers, adding some garnish in its final minutes as the audience rose to a peak of 1.9 million. The #1 new competition series of the 2013 fall television season, on Friday MASTERCHEF JUNIOR led the next closest program by double digits with total viewers (+12%), A25-54 (+18%), A18-34 (+12%), and A18-49 (+10%). MASTERCHEF JUNIOR won its timeslot across all key markets among non-sports programming with A18-49.

In the riveting finale, two talented junior home cooks battled it out for the $100,000 prize and coveted title of MASTERCHEF JUNIOR. In the end, 13-year-old Alexander from New York took home the coveted MasterChef trophy. The episode is available now on CTV.ca.
