To the members of the press:
I can’t tell you how excited I am to share FOR LIFE with you.
Several years ago, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson met Isaac Wright, Jr., heard his incredible story of persistence and triumph, and knew the inspiring ideas behind the story had to be brought to light. 50 teamed up with my colleagues Doug Robinson and Alison Greenspan and they brought the story to me. I was so moved by what Isaac endured and accomplished, and I believed that the ideas behind his story could touch people in a profound way.
We took Isaac’s story and created the fictionalized world of FOR LIFE following Aaron Wallace as he fights for his freedom, fights for justice, and fights to get back to his family. Leading our truly gifted ensemble cast is Nicholas Pinnock in a performance that will break your heart. Nicholas’ talent and gravitas brings us into Aaron’s complicated world. A world where he has to shape-shift between inmate, lawyer and family man and somehow manage to survive.
FOR LIFE asks important questions about social justice at a time where we as a culture are beginning to learn the costs of our system’s flaws. We truly hope that audiences will not only be entertained by our story but perhaps be moved to ask questions about the injustices in our penal and legal systems.
All the best,
Hank Steinberg
