Toronto, ON (September 21, 2015) – The countdown is on. Diehard fans of newsworthy satire are about to welcome a fresh face one week from today with the highly anticipated debut of THE DAILY SHOW WITH TREVOR NOAH, Monday, Sept. 28 at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy. Comedian and new addition to the exalted late-night circuit, Trevor Noah takes the reins as host of the iconic Emmy® and Peabody® Award-winning series and its longstanding history of insightful and biting daily news coverage. Two days before the premiere airs, Noah takes to the stage live at Toronto’s JFL 42 comedy festival, with a headliner performance on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. ET at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts.

**Media Note** – Download photography at bellmedia.ca/pr/tv/comedy Leading up to his debut on THE DAILY SHOW, Comedy presents an encore broadcast of Noah’s side-splitting stand-up special, TREVOR NOAH: AFRICAN AMERICAN this Saturday, Sept. 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Taped in 2013, the South African born comic takes to the stage to explore his often-bewildering journey of arriving in America and simply wanting to be “black.” Noah shares his perspective of growing up a mixed-race child under Apartheid, and fearlessly breaks down racial stereotypes on all sides by becoming what Newsweek calls a “cultural chameleon.” This season THE DAILY SHOW sees new faces added to “The Best F*&#ing News Team Ever!”, including stand-up comedian Ronny Chieng, actress Desi Lydic, and comedian Roy Wood Jr. Returning to slay the political punditry are Jordan Klepper, Hasan Minhaj, Jessica Williams, Lewis Black, John Hodgman, Al Madrigal, Aasif Mandvi, and Kristen Schaal. About Trevor Noah Trevor Noah joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in 2014 as a contributor. He made his U.S. television debut in 2012 on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and has also appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, becoming the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on either late-night show. Born in South Africa to a black South African mother and a white European father, he has successfully become the top comedian in Africa. Noah has hosted numerous television shows including his own late night talk show in his native country, Tonight with Trevor Noah.
