TORONTO (January 29, 2013) – Meet the SWAMP BROTHERS, Robbie and Stephen Keszey, an unlikely pair of brothers who run one of the most unique family businesses in North America – Glades Herp Farm – working with wild and dangerous animals deep in the swamps of Florida. Premiering Thursday, Feb. 21 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Animal Planet, each episode stars Robbie, a veteran of the ‘80s metal scene who’s passionate about all things scaly; and Stephen, a former New York City bartender who’s more comfortable hailing a cab than handling a snake!

Robbie and Stephen Keszey – aka the SWAMP BROTHERS – run Glades Herp Farm in Florida, the largest venomous snake breeding farm in the world.

The SWAMP BROTHERS put themselves on the line to protect the most unusual of creatures – from pythons and gators, to wildcats and bears.

In the series premiere, a very nervous Stephen has to distract a highly aggressive mama gator while Robbie collects her eggs to save them from being eaten by wildlife. Stephen is also forced to come face to face with his fear of snakes, and makes a mistake that results in wild hogs running loose on the farm.

SWAMP BROTHERS: “Sex and the Single Gator”

Thursday, Feb. 21 at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT

The SWAMP BROTHERS head out on gator patrol, and Stephen learns how to tell the difference between male and female gators when he has to get up-close-and-personal with one of the farm’s females. Robbie heads into a lion’s den to sedate a sick male, while Stephen keeps an eye on the protective lioness as she’s ready to pounce.

SWAMP BROTHERS: “That’s the Big One”

Thursday, Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT

Robbie and Stephen set out to find the big male gator that has been terrorizing their swamp and injuring other animals. It will take more than just the two of them to capture and move the massive bully.

SWAMP BROTHERS: “A Croc Walks into a Swamp…”

Thursday, Feb. 28 at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30pm p.m. PT

A lover’s quarrel between two giant reptiles has the SWAMP BROTHERS nursing a Cuban croc back to health. Despite the croc’s recent loss to an overbearing female, this fast galloping male is still a feisty match, even for Robbie.
