TORONTO (September 18, 2014) – Following dramatic comeback wins by Team Europe in 2010 and 2012, the best golfers from the United States and Europe clash once again when the 2014 RYDER CUP returns to its roots at the famous Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, Scotland, airing live on TSN from September 26 to 28. Canada’s Sports Leader delivers exclusive live coverage of the famed biennial tournament across three days of world-class competition.
Throughout the competition, TSN delivers frequent RYDER CUP updates from Canadian PGA Tour golfer David Hearn and TSN’s resident golf expert Bob Weeks, who tee up each day of competition and deliver complete post-round reaction.
The action begins with foursome (two-man teams in alternate shot play) and fourball (two-man teams in better ball competition) matches on Friday, Sept. 26 at 2:30 a.m. ET and Saturday, Sept. 27 at 3 a.m. ET on TSN. The 2014 RYDER CUP culminates with singles matches on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 7 a.m. ET on TSN (see below or visit TSN.ca for complete broadcast schedule).

The European team, captained by Paul McGinley, includes four of the Top 10 world-ranked players including #1-ranked Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia (3), Henrik Stenson (4), and Justin Rose (6). On the heels of its victories in 2010 and 2012, Team Europe will compete for its sixth RYDER CUP championship in the last seven events.
Led by captain Tom Watson, Team USA features four of the Top 10 players in the World Golf Rankings including Jim Furyk (5), 2014 MASTERS winner Bubba Watson (7), Matt Kuchar (9), and Rickie Fowler (10), as well as #11-ranked Phil Mickelson.
