TELETOON Dives Into Summer with New Original Series Camp Lakebottom

Toronto, OntarioJune 19, 2013– The Camp Director is a monster, the lake is called Ickygloomy and theoatmeal has a life of its own. But in the eyes of a kid, CampLakebottom is the best camp ever! TELETOON is proud to present the world broadcast premiere of its latest original series, Camp Lakebottom, on Thursday, July 4 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT, during the Can’t Miss Thursdays programming block. 

Camp Lakebottom recounts theadventures of 12-year-old prankster McGee and his summer at the mostdangerous – and exciting – summer camp in the world. The cabins are rundown, the lake is toxic, the forest creatures are mutants and thecounsellors are a real creep show, but McGee and his pals, Gretchen andSquirt, are having the time of their lives. The only thing they could dowithout is that snooty kid, Buttsquat, from the squeaky clean rivalcamp across the lake.

Camp Lakebottom is theultimate summer series for kids, complete with gross-out humour, plentyof pranks and a good amount of heart. We’re thrilled to be premiering itas part of our Can’t Miss Thursdays lineup this summer,” said Alan Gregg, Director, Original Content, TELETOON Canada Inc.

Produced for TELETOON by 9 Story Entertainment, Camp Lakebottomis created by Betsy McGowen and Eric Jacobson. Executive Producers areVince Commisso, Steve Jarosz, Kevin Gillis, Betsy McGowen and EricJacobson. Season one consists of 13 half-hour episodes.

In addition to new episodes premiering every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT throughout the summer, Camp Lakebottom will air Friday mornings at 9:30 a.m. ET/PT, during TELETOON’s special summer lineup, Camp TELETOON, airing weekday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET/PT.
