TORONTO (May 9, 2013) – Get in line, Lovatics! MuchMusic kicksoff the most exciting award show on the planet with a big name and a big voiceas Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) is the firstperformer announced for the 2013MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS. The X FACTOR judge, pop music role model, and allaround teen sensation is making her MMVAs debut withwhat is sure to be a show-stopping performance. The star-studded night beginswith the 2013 MMVAs RED CARPET SPECIAL on Sunday, June 16 at 8p.m. ET, followed by the live show at 9 p.m. ETon MuchMusic and Fuse.

Keeping with MMVAtradition, Much kicks off the biggest block party in the world with not only amega-artist announcement, but also the launch of the Your Fave nominees. Viewersare in control of this fan-driven award in three categories – Your FaveInternational Artist/Group, Your Fave Video, and Your Fave Artist/Group. As oneof the nominees in the Your Fave International Artist/Group category, Lovatocelebrates her first MMVA appearance with not only aperformance, but also a nomination (see below for additional nominees).
