TORONTO (October 22, 2013) – This November, Comedy takes laughter to a new level with an all-new romantic comedy GROUND FLOOR, premiering Thursday, Nov. 14 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. The 10-episode, half-hour series follows Brody (Skylar Astin, Pitch Perfect), a young hot-shot banker and Jennifer (Briga Heelan, COUGAR TOWN), who thought they had a one-night stand at a party, only to discover they work in the same building. As their worlds begin to collide, the pair must learn to deal with their blossoming romance under the scrutiny of Brody’s critical boss, Mr. Mansfield, (John C. McGinley, SCRUBS) and their annoyed colleagues.
Jennifer (Briga Heelan) and Brody (Skylar Astin) dabble with office romance on GROUND FLOOR
GROUND FLOOR also stars Rory Scovel (ZACH STONE IS GOING TO BE FAMOUS) as Harvard, a know-it-all who is secretly enamored with Jennifer, and James Earl (GLEE) as Derrick, a guy who is tough on the outside, but always looks out for his friends. Also gathering around the water cooler is Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect) as Tori, a young woman who loves to hit the clubs every night and catch up on her sleep at work, and Rene Gube (UPRIGHT CITIZENS BRIGADE) as Brody’s colleague, a competitive go-getter who is not quite as shallow as he seems.
GROUND FLOOR is created by Emmy® nominees Bill Lawrence (COUGAR TOWN, SCRUBS) and Greg Malins (2 BROKE GIRLS, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER). Lawrence, Jeff Ingold (UNDATEABLE), and Jeff Astrof (THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE) serve as executive producers.
