The Comedy Network Exclusive: SETH ROGEN’S HILARITY FOR CHARITY Has World Debut August 31

CTV Comedy Channel

“I know a lot of you were expecting me to pander to the Canadian crowd a bit more than I did. What I want to say is, not only am I gonna do that right now, but I’m gonna do it in the craziest f*cking way you’ve ever seen! Youppi – bring out Timbits for everybody!” – Seth Rogen on stage pandering to a live Canadian audience

“Even by Just for Laughs standards of wonkiness, this one was way out there. Can’t ever remember a JFL spectacle quite like this one… And in the midst of that lunacy was a darned solid comedy show.” – Bill Brownstein, Montreal Gazette

Hosted by the homegrown superstar himself, Seth Rogen, and taped exclusively for Comedy at Montréal’s Place Des Arts theatre during this year’s Just For Laughs Festival , SETH ROGEN’S HILARITY FOR CHARITY features sidesplitting stand-up sets from some of today’s hottest comedians including Al Madrigal, Hannibal Buress, Jerrod Carmichael, Jim Norton, Joe Mande, and Michelle Wolf. The Comedy original special also features swoon-worthy surprise celebrity appearances from Montréal Canadiens hero P.K. Subban; actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who croons a jaw-dropping version of a Jacques Brel classic in perfect French; and a replica of Canada’s unofficial Holy Grail, The Stanley Cup, which inevitably brings the house down.

Below are some comedic nuggets from SETH ROGEN’S HILARITY FOR CHARITY:

Hannibal Burress on podiatrists: “Being a podiatrist has to be great because the stakes are so low. You never have to walk into a waiting room and go ‘I’m sorry…your son didn’t make it. His bunions went into his prostate.’”

Jerrod Carmichael on Tinder: “Tinder is missing a maybe option. It should have an option where you swipe up and that means, maybe. And then those faces don’t reappear until after three in the morning.”

Jim Norton on modern technology: “Could you imagine if in high school in the 80s, they had told us this technology was coming. Someday soon, you’re going to hold a glass telephone, and you can use that phone to take a picture of your d*ck, and send it to any woman in the world. I wouldn’t even ask if it worked as a phone.”

Al Madrigal on breastfeeding: “I saw a lady who was breastfeeding a kid who was way too old to be breastfed. You ever see that? Ladies – a child should not be old enough to comment on the quality.”

Joe Mande on L.A. becoming a hockey town: “We live in L.A –Hockeytown, U.S.A. Um I know. That sucks for you. We keep winning and no one cares. No one cares.”

Michelle Wolf on procrastination: “It’s weird. If you wait all day to do something, you’re a procrastinator. But if you do it first thing in the morning, you’re an alcoholic.”
