In a career first, Marilyn Denis trades in her broadcasting skills for editorial thrills as the daytime host adds the title of guest editor to her resume for the November 2015 issue of Canadian Living magazine. Denis teams up with the nation’s largest magazine for Canadian women in celebration of the magazine’s 40th anniversary – which hits newsstands nationwide on Oct. 1. The celebration continues on-air in a special Canadian Living themed episode of THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW (Oct. 6) that pays tribute to the iconic magazine’s 40th anniversary milestone and features a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the issue by Editor-In-Chief Sandra E. Martin. The special episode also takes viewers on a tour of Marilyn’s Toronto home and features holiday entertaining tips from the magazine’s Home & Garden Contributor Brett Walther, Fashion & Beauty Director Julia McEwen, and Food Director Annabelle Waugh, as well as etiquette tips from resident butler Charles MacPherson (a.k.a Charles the Butler). Viewers can also look forward to additional lifestyle and celebrity guests this season including QUEER EYE hairstylist Kyan Douglas (Sept. 11); Canadian singer-songwriter Tyler Shaw (Sept. 15); Olympian and humanitarian Clara Hughes (Sept. 16); GOTHAM’s David Mazouz and Camren Bicondova (Sept. 21); MASTERCHEF CANADA judge Michael Bonacini (Sept. 21); GREY’S ANATOMY’s James Pickens Jr. and Caterina Scorsone (Sept. 22); SAVING HOPE’s Erica Durance and Michael Shanks (Sept. 24); celebrity stylist, author, and fashion designer Carson Kressley (Sept. 29); CODE BLACK’s Benjamin Hollingsworth and Bonnie Somerville (Sept. 30); realtors Hilary Farr and David Visentin (Oct. 1); home renovation and real estate experts Drew and Jonathan Scott (Oct. 5); veteran contractor and DIY expert Bryan Baeumler and Sarah Baeumler (Oct. 8); British TV personality and food writer Nigella Lawson (Nov. 3), and more. Plus, MARILYN’s annual fan favourite “Halloween Spooktacular” special and “10 Days of Giveaways” holiday gift guide also return this season. Since its debut in January 2011, THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW has been the #1 Canadian lifestyle series for five straight years. Its highest-rated season to date, Season 5 of THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW averaged 275,000 viewers, up 22% versus its previous season, and up 37% versus Season 1. With a strong loyal following tuning in each week, the program’s average weekly reach on CTV and CTV Two is 3.7 million combined.
