The Retroactive Amalgamation: THE BIG BANG THEORY Finale Cram Session is On!

— February 28, 2019

After a rare 12-season run, the show that’s so popular it’s recently had the soundstage it films on named after it is coming to an end. To help viewers cram for the conclusion of Canada’s #1 series, CTV.ca and the CTV app are unlocking four episodes a day – for one day only, each! – leading up to the finale, starting tomorrow (March 1). For committed fans, this cram session is a hilarious trip down memory lane. For those who haven’t seen the show, they get to experience the evolution of these awkward “geniuses” and see what everyone’s been going on about for the last dozen years. Beginning with the series pilot right through to Season 11, viewers who want to be fully prepared to say goodbye to their favourite comic-book loving brainiacs will need to commit to enjoying four episodes daily. But with 40 Emmy nominations and 10 wins, and five Golden Globe nominations and one win, this show has proven it’s worth the investment! Season 12 episodes continue Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, and are also available on CTV.ca and the CTV app with subscription. Here’s how it all began back in 2007: Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) are brilliant physicists, the kind of “beautiful minds” that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny (Kaley Cuoco) moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard’s roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow Caltech scientists Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar). However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities... including love.
