Season 4 of renowned Space original series ORPHAN BLACK and multiple Canadian Screen Award winner makes its highly anticipated return with a new Thursday at 10 p.m. ET timeslot, beginning April 14. The multi-faceted Golden Globe^® and Emmy^®-nominated Tatiana Maslany, winner of her third consecutive Canadian Screen Award for Best Actress last night, returns to her multiple roles as the clone sisters, who, no longer under anyone’s guidance, must band together to face their obstacles head-on. With the stakes higher than ever before, the 10-episode, one-hour drama finds Sarah (Maslany) following Beth’s (Maslany) footsteps into a dangerous relationship with a potent new enemy, as she seeks to uncover the missing chapter of the clone conspiracy. ORPHAN BLACK is the recipient of seven 2016 Canadian Screen Awards, more than any other drama series. Immediately following the ORPHAN BLACK premiere, Space’s popular original insider series INNERSPACE: AFTER THE BLACK returns Thursday nights at 11 p.m. ET. Each week, INNERSPACE hosts Ajay Fry, Morgan Hoffman, and Teddy Wilson convene and dissect each thrilling new episode with the cast and creators of ORPHAN BLACK. Season 4 introduces Joel Thomas Hynes (REPUBLIC OF DOYLE) in the role of “Dizzy”, an edgy, self-reliant hacker who doesn’t conform to group mentality; Jessalyn Wanlim (Alex Cross) as Evie Cho, a powerful, seductively articulate bioengineer who believes great discoveries require casualties; Lauren Hammersley (MR. D) as Adele, a shameless, brazen, and wickedly intelligent lawyer who outwits opponents even when heavily intoxicated; and Gord Rand (Maps To The Stars) as Detective Duko, who on the surface appears to be unassuming and slightly nebbish, but has used his underlying angst to nastily claw his way to the top. Returning to the Peabody Award-winning series this season is the inimitable Jordan Gavaris as Sarah’s battle worn foster brother Felix; Kristian Bruun as Alison’s incredibly devoted husband Donnie; Maria Doyle Kennedy as Sarah and Felix’s fiercely loyal and stouthearted foster mother Mrs. S; Kevin Hanchard as Art, a detective torn between being a good cop and his loyalty to the clones; recent Canadian Screen Award winner for Best Actor – Drama Ari Millen as Ira, a Castor clone cut from a different cloth; Josh Vokey as Scott, science geek and confidante to Cosima; and Skyler Wexler as Sarah’s daughter Kira. Also returning this season is James Frain as Ferdinand, an intimidating and scheming executive; Alison Steadman as Kendall Malone, “the original” for both Leda and Castor clones; and Rosemary Dunsmore as Susan Duncan, Rachel’s adoptive mother and one of the leading scientists of Project Leda. In the Season 4 premiere of ORPHAN BLACK, Thursday, April 14 at 10 p.m. on Space, after two months of respite, Sarah’s hard-won sanctuary in Iceland is shattered by a Neolution attack. Sarah, Mrs. S, Kendall, and Kira are forced back on the run, once again fleeing from a potent, faceless enemy with far-reaching and insidious power. Season 3 of ORPHAN BLACK reached 3.8 million viewers on Space, with an average audience of 282,000 viewers each week. Throughout the premiere broadcast of Season 3, Space ranked as the most-watched network for total viewers and Adults and Females 25-54, 18-49, and 18-34, among all Canadian specialty and pay and U.S. specialty networks.
