TORONTO (February 26, 2015) – TSN confirmed today it will leverage its five national feeds to deliver multi-sheet coverage of the TIM HORTONS BRIER, marking the first time in network history that fans can choose between two different feature draws taking place at the same time. TSN will have two crews on location in Calgary to broadcast the two different feature draws throughout the preliminary round’s afternoon and prime-time competitions. TSN’s exclusive live coverage of the TIM HORTONS BRIER begins Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The TIM HORTONS BRIER, featuring Brad Gushue, John Morris, Brad Jacobs, and Kevin Koe, begins live on TSN this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

With its multi-sheet coverage, TSN will deliver 100+ hours of live TIM HORTONS BRIER coverage across its five national feeds – 50% more than last year. TSN subscribers can also live stream the network’s coverage via TSN GOand online at TSN.ca. “Our strategy with TSN’s expanded national feeds has always been to give our subscribers more choice when it comes to accessing the most extensive selection of live championship events on television,” said Shawn Redmond, Vice-President of Programming and Marketing, TSN. “We’re ecstatic to be able to add multiple sheets to our TIM HORTONS BRIER coverage – it’s a huge win for curling fans who want to see more of the sport’s biggest events.” TSN’s expanded multi-sheet coverage of the Tim Hortons Brier comes on the heels of the 2015 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts that attracted a record television audience. Broadcast Team TSN also announced today that four-time Brier champion and three-time world champion David Nedohin will join TSN’s acclaimed broadcast team as a guest analyst in Calgary. Nedohin, whose career highlights also include three Canada Cup championships and a TSN skins game victory, delivers analysis alongside play-by-play announcer Bryan Mudryk throughout the network’s expanded afternoon and prime-time draw coverage. Canada’s voice of curling, play-by-play announcer Vic Rauter and analyst Russ Howard, a two-time Brier champion and 2006 Olympic gold medallist, call afternoon and evening feature draws alongside guest analyst and Olympic silver medallist Cheryl Bernard. Mudryk is also joined in the broadcast booth by analyst Cathy Gauthier for morning draws throughout the tournament. 2015 TIM HORTONS BRIER Outlook (via TSN.ca) John Morris and his Calgary rink represent Team Canada for the first time this year, headlining a star-studded field. Morris skipped Jim Cotter’s British Columbia rink in last year’s TIM HORTONS BRIER and lost in the final to the team he now leads. Kevin Koe, the skip of that TIM HORTONS BRIER -winning squad in 2014, is back at this year’s national championship with an entirely new foursome. 2014 Olympic gold medallist Brad Jacobs of Northern Ontario makes his return to the TIM HORTONS BRIER, while 2006 Olympic gold medallist Brad Gushue looks to win the tournament for the first time in his career. Team Canada is joined in the main draw by the 10 teams with the best combined records in the previous three TIM HORTONS BRIER competitions, meaning Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Yukon will play off for the 12th and final berth.
