TSN Delivers on the Button Coverage of the Biggest Events in Curling Beginning with the CAPITAL ONE ROAD TO THE ROAR on November

TORONTO (November 6, 2013) – TSN’s sweeping coverage of the most prestigious curling events of the 2013-14 curling season launches this Saturday (Nov. 9) at 9 a.m. ET on TSN with coverage of the CAPITAL ONE ROAD TO THE ROAR, live from Kitchener, Ont.

As the official broadcaster of the Canadian Curling Association, TSN brings fans more than 300 hours of live action from the biggest events in curling, including complete coverage of the Tim Hortons Brier and Scotties Tournament of Hearts, along with the men’s and women’s world championships, and the TRAVELERS ALL-STAR CURLING SKINS GAME, taking place at The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre in Banff National Park from January 11-12, 2014.

CAPITAL ONE ROAD TO THE ROAR
The CAPITAL ONE ROAD TO THE ROAR features 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams, each vying for the final two spots at the 2013 Canadian Olympic Trials, the TIM HORTONS ROAR OF THE RINGS, which will determine Canada’s representatives for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Russia.

The CAPITAL ONE ROAD TO THE ROAR features many of Canada’s rising curling stars, as well as veterans that have competed in past national, international, and Olympic competitions. The men’s side includes 2013 TIM HORTONS BRIER winner Brad Jacobs, Vancouver 2010 gold medallist John Morris, and Turin 2006 gold medallist Brad Gushue, while the women’s field features Vancouver 2010 silver medallist Cheryl Bernard and Turin 2006 bronze medallist Shannon Kleibrink.

Coverage of the CAPITAL ONE ROAD TO THE ROAR begins with the first Women’s Playoff Game this Saturday (Nov. 9) at 9 a.m. ET on TSN (see complete broadcast schedule below).

Women’s Trials Qualifier on CTV Two and TSN.ca
Coverage of the final Women’s Trials Qualifier will be available on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. ET live on CTV Two and live streamed on TSN.ca.

Broadcast Team
TSN’s acclaimed curling broadcast team will be in Kitchener with Vic Rauter providing play-by-play alongside commentators Linda Moore, the 1985 Canadian and World Champion and 1988 Olympic gold medallist, and recent inductee to the Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame Russ Howard, a two-time Brier champion and 2006 Olympic gold medallist.
