TSN shines the spotlight on up-and-coming Canadian basketball stars tomorrow (Saturday, Jan. 16), highlighted by Kitchener, Ont.-native and NCAA star Jamal Murray’s Kentucky vs. Auburn at 4 p.m. ET on TSN2, followed by Murray’s former high school team, the Athlete Institute, making history as the first international squad to be featured in the GEICO ESPN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL SHOWCASE. Top international prospect Thon Maker headlines the Orangeville, Ont.-based Athlete Institute against #1-ranked Findlay Prep at 6 p.m. ET on TSN2. Maker, who played alongside Murray at the Athlete Institute and at last year’s inaugural BIOSTEEL ALL-CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAME, is widely considered to be one of the top high school players in his class and a coveted NCAA recruit. Reigning NBA MVP Steph Curry and the defending league champions cap the network’s basketball coverage tomorrow with a visit to Detroit. Golden State vs. Detroit airs at 7:30 p.m. ET on TSN2.
