

TSN Delivers Extensive Coverage of Canada’s National Men’s Hockey Team Orientation

Toronto, ON (August 23, 2013) – Tennis’ biggest stars are under the bright lights of New York and TSN’s extensive, multi-platform coverage will include 130+ hours of live US Open coverage beginning on Monday, Aug. 26 on TSN2. In addition to its extensive television coverage, TSN will deliver bonus online coverage of selected matches on TSN.ca.
2013 US OPEN on TSN and TSN2
TSN and TSN2’s coverage of the 2013 US Open includes live daily daytime and primetime broadcasts throughout the tournament including the men’s and women’s early round and round of 16 matches, along with the quarter-finals, semifinals and Finals (see broadcast schedule below).
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic looks to win his second US OPEN and Grand Slam singles title of the year. Having captured nine titles this year, No. 2 rival Rafael Nadal seeks his second Grand Slam title of 2013. Other top competitors include defending US OPEN champion Andy Murray, who is on a high after winning Wimbledon, along with six-time US OPEN champion Roger Federer.
Joining them is Canadian Milos Raonic who set the stage at the 2013 Rogers Cup earlier this month and holds the highest Canadian seeding ever at No. 10. Fellow Canadian Vasek Pospisil will make his second appearance at the tournament.
Winning last year’s US OPEN, world No.1-ranked Serena Williams seeks to add to her already impressive eight titles for the year, including a win at the French Open. Williams’ biggest challenger, No. 2 ranked Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, is seeking her first US OPEN title and second major title after defending her Australian Open title in January.
Highest-ranked Canadian female Eugenie Bouchard looks to continue to make a name for herself as the rising star takes on the world’s best players. Montreal’s Aleksandra Wozniak returns to the US OPEN after being sidelined for the better part of a year with a shoulder injury.
