  TORONTO (January 8, 2016) – Final data confirms the two-night premiere event of the galactic drama THE EXPANSE (December 14 and 15) reached nearly 1.4 million total viewers across all airings on Space. The debut episode on Dec. 14 at 10 p.m. ET delivered a whopping 517,000 viewers, making it the fourth-highest series premiere in Space history. The exciting debut followed a successful, multi-platform non-linear launch of THE EXPANSE with more than 238,000 viewers sampling the debut episode on Space.ca, Space’s Facebook and YouTube pages, and via an initiative with mobile app Shazam. On Twitter, #TheExpanse has been a top Canadian trend every week since the Dec. 14 premiere. For those who have yet to catch up on THE EXPANSE, Episodes 1-5 are available now on Space.ca. Following the series premiere of THE EXPANSE, Space’s insider program INNERSPACE: AFTER THE EXPANSE premiered to 118,500 total viewers, and is averaging nearly 100,000 viewers each week. Hosted by INNERSPACE’s Ajay Fry, Morgan Hoffman, and Teddy Wilson, the after-show features exclusive interviews with the cast, episode recaps, Canadian-exclusive sneak peeks, and more.
