MUST-WATCH FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 17 CTV: An all-new episode of MARY’S KITCHEN CRUSH airs Sunday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, as host Mary Berg makes magic on short notice when her good friend Sarah pays a surprise visit in the episode titled “Delicious Drop-In.” For Sarah, Mary gets creative with what’s on hand, whipping up a great meal with minutes to spare. Mary assembles a killer cheeseboard and fancies it up with a chunky pear and onion chutney and crumbly blue cheese shortbread. For the main course, she finds some fresh veggies and leftover chicken and makes magic with a fridge cleanout pot pie topped with delectable drop biscuits. CTV Comedy Channel: Season 1 of CROSSING SWORDS, which will continue reigning for a second season, culminates on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. With the castle under siege by a masked assassin, Patrick (Nicholas Hoult, Mad Max: Fury Road) must stop the coup and save the royal family. CTV Drama Channel’s IN THE DARK continues with an all-new episode, Thursday, Aug. 20 at 9 p.m. ET, as the Guiding Hope Crew find themselves under the gun to sniff out Nia’s (Nicki Micheaux, LINCOLN HEIGHTS) missing drug stash. Meanwhile, Dean (Rich Sommer, MAD MEN) has his own plans for the misplaced goods and Gene (Matt Murray) visits Darnell (Keston John) and uncovers some shocking information. CTV Life Channel: Bell Media Studios Original Series DOUBLE YOUR DISH continues with another all-new episode on Monday, Aug. 17 at 8:30 p.m. ET as real-life couple Chef Rodney Bowers and Bell Media radio and TV personality Meredith Shaw cook up the perfect barbeque ribs with grilled Caesar salad – and then turn the leftovers into cheesy quesadillas. CTV Sci-Fi Channel: In an all-new episode of STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS, airing Thursday, Aug. 20 at 9 p.m. ET, the Starfleet learn the meaning of a tight ship when a new work protocol eliminating “buffer time” has the U.S.S. Cerritos crew running ragged as they try to keep up with their tightened schedules. CTV Throwback: 90’s sitcom HUDSON STREET joins CTV Throwback on Thursday, Aug. 20. The series follows Tony Canetti (Tony Danza, WHO’S THE BOSS), a divorced detective in Hoboken, New Jersey who shares custody of his son Mickey with his ex-wife. In between work and raising his son, Tony starts a romance with an idealistic crime reporter.
