Below are programming highlights for CTV, CTV Comedy Channel, CTV Drama Channel, CTV Life Channel, and CTV Sci-Fi Channel, as well as CTV Throwback and CTV Movies, which are available exclusively on CTV.ca and the CTV app. MUST-WATCH FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 7 CTV: An all-new season of AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR kicks off Monday, Sept. 7 with a two-hour season premiere starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV2. Filmed during the pandemic, this season features an abridged format with multiple rounds: Qualifiers (6-obstacle course), Semi-Finals (10-obstacle course) and Finals (10-obstacle course and the Power Tower playoff). To determine the winner during the Finals, the Top 8 ninjas will compete in a playoff series where they will race head-to-head on the Power Tower to see which ninja will win the ultimate cash prize of $100,000. AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR is hosted by stand-up comedian Matt Iseman and former NFL player Akbar Gbajabiamila, with sideline reporter Zuri Hall. CTV Comedy Channel initiates viewers in to a FRAT MOVIE MARATHON airing Sunday, Sept. 7. Pledging to provide plenty of laughs, the marathon includes comedies LEGALLY BLONDE (1 p.m. ET/PT), the network premiere of NEIGHBORS (3 p.m. ET/PT), and OLD SCHOOL (5 p.m. ET/PT). CTV Drama Channel: LOVE LIFE, the first full-length scripted series to star Oscar® nominee Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect), debuts Tuesday, Sept. 8 with back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m. ET and 9:30 p.m. ET. The anthology series takes viewers along Darby Carter’s (Kendrick) journey from first to lasting love, offering a glimpse into how each relationship can affect the next. CTV Life Channel: In an all-new episode of COOK LIKE A CHEF, airing Friday, Sept. 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET, Chef Katie Ardington, former personal chef to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and executive chef for the Beckta restaurant group, shares her techniques for cooking with a variety of mushrooms. CTV Sci-Fi Channel: Oscar®-nominated action-adventure film READY PLAYER ONE (2018), based on Ernest Cline’s bestseller of the same name, makes its network debut on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 9 p.m. ET. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the movie takes viewers along Wade Watts’ (Tye Sheridan, X-Men: Apocalypse) escape into the OASIS, an immersive virtual universe where most of humanity spend their days in the year 2045. When the creator of the OASIS, eccentric genius James Halliday (Mark Rylance, Dunkirk) dies, he leaves his immense fortune and total control of the OASIS up to the winner of his three-part posthumous challenge. CTV Throwback: The mystery crime series HIGH TIDE joins CTV Throwback on Thursday, Sept. 10. The series follows former police officer Mick (Rick Springfield, GENERAL HOSPITAL), and his impulsive younger brother Joey (Yannick Bisson, MURDOCH MYSTERIES), as they surf the beaches of California’s golden coast. When the brothers’ beach bumming ways fail to pay the bills, they begin working with a retired CIA agent and offer their services as private detectives to solve local crimes in the San Diego area.
