TORONTO (August 16, 2022) – Westeros is coming to Canada. From a national marketing campaign and a limited time offer on annual plans; to an augmented reality app and Canadian premiere screening event, Crave invites Canadians on a journey to immerse themselves in the world of Westeros, featured in HBO’s highly anticipated drama series, HOUSE OF THE DRAGON, premiering Sunday, Aug. 21. Elements of the campaign include:
  • A national, English and French campaign featuring:
    • Ads running across Bell Media TV, Digital and Radio properties
    • Billboards, transit shelters, and digital boards in key, high-traffic locations in Toronto, Montréal, Ottawa, and Vancouver
    • Targeted digital and social media placements
    • :30 ads running in cinemas
  • A special, limited time offer on Crave Total annual plans, which gives new, reactivating, and upgrading subscribers $50 off the regular price of $199.90 (plus tax). The offer begins on Aug. 17 and runs until Sept 6.
  • Available in English and French, House of the Dragon: DracARys is a new augmented reality app available for download in the Apple and Google Play app stores that allows fans to hatch and raise their own virtual dragons at home. Each dragon is unique to its user, and as it grows, develops its own look and temperament driven by its keeper’s interactions with it. Users also learn Valyrian words from HOUSE OF THE DRAGON to command their dragon as they grow to enormous size, hitting developmental milestones on their way to full adulthood. As dragons grow, they can recognize landmarks around the world, including famous locations in Canada such as:
    • Harbour Centre in Vancouver
    • Calgary Tower
    • Parliament Hill in Ottawa
    • Toronto’s CN Tower
    • Stade Olympique, Tour de la Bourse, and Oratoire Saint-Joseph du Mont-Royal in Montréal
    • Cabot Tower in St. John’s
  • A special premiere screening event hosted by Crave in partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival on Wednesday, August 17 at TIFF Bell Lightbox. Guests will enjoy a screening of HOUSE OF THE DRAGON Episode 1, followed by an in-person Q&A with Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon).
