Every day, over 20,000 passengers ask for entry into Canada at Vancouver International Airport, or by land at the Lower Mainland border crossing. This documentary series explores the day-to-day work of customs officers from the Canada Border Services Agency. They have to use their judgement to weed out suspicious travellers and every type of trafficker imaginable, and always be ready for the unexpected when passengers react unpredictably. Interrogations, counter-interrogations, inspections, pat-downs, X-rays and sniffing dogs are just some of the techniques used to secure our borders.
