About the show
Since 1999, Homegrown Comics has been a staple event of the annual Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. Each year JFL scouts scour the country looking for the hottest new voices in comedy. The result? An annual showcase of the very best up-and-coming comics from across Canada. Filmed for TV for the first time ever, the 2018 edition of this prestigious showcase is hosted by the incomparable K. Trevor Wilson, himself a Homegrown participant in 2012. Tune in to check out the future of the Canadian comedy scene, today. This year’s rising stars include Pat Burtscher, Adrienne Fish, Hoodo Hersi, Brandon Ash-Mohammed, Nick Nemeroff, Cara Connors, Jacob Samuel, Kyle Brownrigg, Paul Rabliauskas, and Jarrett Campbell.
