The six-part serialised anthology weaves character studies inspired by true stories into a narrative about the Australian bushfires of 2019/20 – the biggest fires of this century, if not in recorded history. Each episode is based around a different community, drawn from reports of ordinary people caught in the unimaginable, and the impossible choices they were forced to make.
