About

THE DETAIL is a female-driven, police procedural chronicling three Homicide Detectives within the Metropolitan Police Service who work tirelessly to solve crimes while navigating the complicated demands of their personal lives. Detective Stevie Hall (Angela Griffin, CORONATION STREET) is an experienced interrogator who can extricate information from suspects and witnesses alike, even while her thorny family life teeters on the edge of full-blown implosion. Her partner, Detective Jacqueline ‘Jack’ Cooper (Shenae Grimes-Beech, 90210, DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION) is a street-smart rookie with a messy personal life. The unit is overseen by larger-than-life Staff Inspector Fiona Currie (Wendy Crewson, SAVING HOPE) – a formidable boss who works overtime to keep the weekly case board clear and the streets safe.

    “The Long Walk”

Detectives Stevie Hall (Angela Griffin, CORONATION STREET) and Jack Cooper (Shenae Grimes-Beech, 90210, DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION) are the investigating officers on a homicide case that has gone to trial. The accused is a college hockey star, Zach Graydon (Jesse Lavercombe, AMERICAN GODS), who is being charged with the rape and murder of Beth Tremblay (Bracken Burns, FRANKIE DRAKE MYSTERIES), a 21-year old college student whose body was found near the recycling bins of her dormitory residence. A new witness, Emma Wright (guest star Rebecca Liddiard, HOUDINI & DOYLE), came forward to the detectives shortly after the murder, to report that Graydon sexually assaulted her five months prior. Unfortunately, Emma’s sexual assault kit was destroyed, so there is little evidence apart from her testimony. Jack and Stevie are brought into court to testify about their work on the case, only to find that the attorney spearheading the defence is none other than Marc Savage (guest star Ben Bass, ROOKIE BLUE), Jack’s vindictive ex whose insight into the case causes tension between Jack and Stevie. To make matters worse, their star witness, Emma Wright, gets cold feet as the trial gets uglier; and Jack and Stevie must put their personal issues aside and battle against the clock to prevent the case from being derailed.
