Dr. Bashir “Bash” Hamed (Hamza Haq), a Syrian doctor with battle-tested skills in emergency medicine, makes the difficult decision to flee his country with his younger sister Amira. With the hope of returning to his career in medicine, Bash and Amira strive to build a new life in Canada while managing the struggles that come with life in a new country. With life experiences and a medical background unlike his Canadian counterparts, Bash works to navigate a new environment and forge new relationships after earning a coveted residency in the Emergency Department of one of the best hospitals in Toronto, York Memorial.

  • S1 - Episode 1

    Pilot

    When Bashir “Bash” Hamed (Hamza Haq) finds himself at the site of a tragic accident, his medical training takes over as he works to save the wounded. At York Memorial Hospital, the staff, including Dr. Magalie “Mags” Leblanc (Laurence Leboeuf), Dr. Theo Hunter (Jim Watson), and Dr. June Curtis (Ayisha Issa) treat patients from the accident while concerns arise about their Chief of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Jed Bishop (John Hannah).

    Tell Me Who You Are

    When Bash (Hamza Haq) and Mags (Laurence Leboeuf) work together to treat a patient with a tricky diagnosis, Mags realizes that Bash’s experience as a doctor in Syria has led to an instinct-based approach. Head nurse Claire Malone (Torri Higginson) is concerned that Dr. Bishop (John Hannah) is already working following his accident. June (Ayisha Issa) struggles to put her foot down with Dr. Singh (Sugith Varughese) concerning the needs of a patient, and Theo (Jim Watson) works to build a connection with Bash.

Meanwhile, Theo (Jim Watson) drives through the night to spend a day with his family in Sudbury, Ont.
