The Bailey Experience
(Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET) A relative latecomer to track and field, Donovan Bailey arrived on the scene in the aftermath of the controversial Canadian cloud of Seoul 1988. As a result of this timing, and transgressions of past Canadian athletes, Donovan faced continual scrutiny, not only from the world of track and field, but also from his Canadian countrymen. Donovan had always been his own man, and was not about to let anything or anyone dictate his path in life. He set out to silence the critics, and was unapologetic about his rise to the top. Donovan Bailey was often misunderstood because of his confidence, and maligned because of his bravado. The world was about to realize that none of this mattered to Donovan Bailey, as he was on a mission to flip the world of track and field on its head. He was going to do it loud, proud, and most of all, clean. This is Donovan Bailey, and this is THE BAILEY EXPERIENCE.
