TORONTO (April 6, 2022) – iHeartRadio Canada’s NEWSTALK 1010 announced today an all-new afternoon drive program, THE RUSH WITH RESHMI NAIR AND SCOTT MACARTHUR, airing weekdays from 2 – 6 p.m. ET. Also available via live stream on iHeartRadio.ca and the iHeartRadio Canada app, THE RUSH WITH RESHMI NAIR AND SCOTT MACARTHUR delivers smart, curious conversation about topics that matter to Toronto, including breaking news and in-depth analysis of current events.

A familiar voice to Torontonians, Reshmi Nair most recently served as anchor of CP24 TONIGHT, and Scott MacArthur returns to the iHeartRadio Canada airwaves, having previously been a longtime voice on TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto, where he hosted the weekday program THE SCOTT MACARTHUR SHOW.

“With two familiar, trusted hosts at the helm, our all-new afternoon drive show will be an entertaining and compelling daily listen for those seeking to know more about what’s happening in Toronto,” said Jeff MacDonald, Program Director, NEWSTALK 1010. “THE RUSH WITH RESHMI NAIR AND SCOTT MACARTHUR breaks down the biggest issues affecting the city today, and discusses where we’re headed tomorrow.”

“More than ever, we need to talk things out, and I’m looking forward to connecting with listeners to discuss how issues in our GTA neighbourhoods and around the world will impact our daily lives,” said Nair. “All lines of communication will be open on THE RUSH. So join the conversation! Scott and I are ready to listen.”

“We live in interesting and challenging times, and this presents us the opportunity to discuss, debate, engage, and listen,” said MacArthur. “Toronto is a wonderfully diverse city affected by local, regional, national, and international issues. Reshmi and I will discuss them all, and we’ll have plenty of laughs too! I’m excited to be back with Bell Media and to return to my roots in news-talk radio.”

All iHeartRadio Canada stations are available across Canada via live stream on iHeartRadio.ca and the iHeartRadio Canada app. iHeartRadio Canada stations are also connected through Alexa, Siri, and Google Home smart speakers.
