TORONTO (April 2, 2026) – Canadian sports broadcasting icon Vic Rauter today announced his retirement following a distinguished career that has spanned 53 years.

This week, Rauter continues to lead TSN’s live coverage of the LGT WORLD MEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP, culminating with his final broadcast, the tournament’s Gold Medal Game, airing live this Saturday, April 4 at 4 p.m. ET on TSN, TSN.ca, and the TSN app.

About Vic Rauter
Best known as the voice of curling in Canada and around the world, Vic Rauter has anchored TSN’s curling coverage for more than 40 years. Rauter has provided the play-by-play commentary for TSN’s acclaimed coverage of Season of Champions curling, including events such as the MONTANA’S BRIER, SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS, and the Women’s and Men’s World Curling Championships, for which he was recognized with nominations for both the Gemini and Canadian Screen Awards.

Raised in Toronto, Rauter began his broadcasting career in February 1973 at CFTR Radio as a news and sports reporter, before joining Toronto’s Global Television Network, followed by the CBC.

Rauter joined TSN in September 1985, and has since made contributions to nearly every live sporting event on the network, including coverage of MLS, NHL, MLB (including the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Expos), Formula 1, figure skating, bowling, cricket, equestrian, and more.

A veteran of nine Olympic Games, Rauter first worked on the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles, followed by Calgary 1988, Barcelona 1992, Sydney 2000, Salt Lake City 2002, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010, and London 2012.

Rauter has also been a key player in TSN’s soccer coverage since 1986, providing commentary for the network’s coverage of the FIFA WORLD CUP in 1986, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, and 2006.

Rauter’s decades-long association with Special Olympics began in the mid-1970s, and he has since volunteered with the organization to lead live coverage of telethons, host fundraisers, and participate in events for the Special Olympics Canada Champions Network.

 	Each episode of BLUE COLLAR focuses on a single profession, following Dan Petronijevic (THE TRADES) as he arrives as a rookie with no script, no stunt doubles, and no way to fake it. Throughout, he works alongside seasoned professionals who set the pace and have zero patience for dead weight. Part workplace comedy, part trial by fire, the original docuseries celebrates the resilience, loyalty, humour, and hard work found in everyday working-class life. Petronijevic swaps punchlines for pressure by stepping into some of Canada’s toughest, dirtiest, and most physically demanding jobs. All 10 episodes of BLUE COLLAR are available for streaming on Friday, March 27.

TORONTO (March 24, 2026) – Season 3 of the half-hour Crave Original dramedy series LATE BLOOMER takes root with a two-episode premiere on Friday, April 24. Created by and starring Jasmeet Raina, the series follows Jasmeet Dutta (Raina) a 30-something Punjabi Canadian trying to get his life together. The eight-episode season follows a weekly release schedule, with new episodes streaming Fridays. 

After closing a chapter on his last relationship, Season 3 sees Jasmeet turn the page with new heights in his career, including starring in his first film, entering the livestream world, and growing a dedicated fandom. But as he battles the pressures of his career, he struggles to maintain his relationships with his friends and family. 

Returning cast alongside Raina this season include: Baljinder Singh Atwal (DES PARDES); Sandeep Bali; Ashley Ganger (GRAND ARMY); Sugenja Sri (THE HANDMAID’S TALE); Ahamed Weinberg (INSECURE); Sachin Mahashi; and Sukhman Gill. Joining the cast are Usha Kiran Uppal as Gurdeep's stern mother Dadi; Amit Aujila as Jasmeet’s manager Navi; Megha Sandhu (PAINKILLER) as Jasmeet’s long-lost friend Maya; and TikTok content creator Prayag Mishra who plays the fast-rising social media star – and Jasmeet’s worst nightmare – Prem.

TORONTO (March 18, 2026) – Crave today announced that Sky has acquired YAGA for the United Kingdom and Ireland through a deal secured by Sphere Abacus. The announcement comes as Sky showcases the series – Crave’s first, half-hour, original drama series – as part of its “Up Next” presentation today in London. Additional territory announcements are expected to follow in the coming weeks.

Based on the hit play by Kat Sandler, who also serves as writer and showrunner, the Crave Original series reimagines the myth of Baba Yaga as a contemporary mystery thriller set in a small coastal town. Produced by Front Street Pictures and Blink49 Studios in partnership with Crave, YAGA is co-directed by David Frazee and Rachel Talalay. The series is executive produced by Mackenzie Donaldson, Andrew Miller, and Carrie-Anne Moss, and produced by Charles Cooper.

YAGA follows Rapp (Noah Reid), a private investigator who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Hudson Williams). He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Clark Backo), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic.

Distributed internationally by Sphere Abacus, YAGA will be available as either four one-hour episodes, or eight half-hour episodes on Sky and other international broadcasters.

The Sky deal follows Bell Media’s recent international sales momentum, including a set of deals for HEATED RIVALRY, the hockey-romance series that has become a worldwide sensation.

MARCH 20 – Crave Original Series THE TRADES *Season 3 Premiere*

As the penultimate episode of THE BORDERLINE concluded last week, there was a showdown between Henry, played by Stephen Amell, and Tommy, played by Hamza Haq. Notably, the showdown was both philosophical and literal, as they stared each other down in a motel parking lot.

Tommy had told Miles, played by Jeremy Watson, to stay in the car. "Why?" Miles asked. Tommy responded ominously, "he looks like he wants to fight."

What happens next will be revealed in the exciting season finale of THE BORDERLINE, which drops Friday, March 13 on Crave (where all previous episodes are also available). To say that the finale features some twists and turns would be wildly underselling it.

Henry, a police officer, has been doing his version of protecting his childhood friend Tommy, who is neck-deep in some nasty drug business. But at times Tommy has wished that Henry's so-called protection could take a different form, or even that Henry would just butt out.

And yet Henry and Tommy are bonded forever by childhood experience.

Amell and Haq were asked that if they had known each other in childhood, what could they have bonded over to extend their friendship into adulthood?

“Pro wrestling!” the pair yelled in unison, practically jumping out of their chairs.

“I mean, that's what happened in real time, even when we're at this age,” Haq added excitedly.

Okay, there may or may not be some wrestling between the Henry and Tommy characters in THE BORDERLINE finale. Be that as it may, the concept of childhood friendships that can never be escaped, for better or for worse, is what has been driving the plot in the series.

“I think one of the cool things about this show, with the characters that Graeme Stewart has created, is that I hope everyone who is watching has been saying to Henry, ‘stop helping that guy!’ ” Amell said. “And yet, Henry will just go back to it.”

THE BORDERLINE also asks a philosophical question about law enforcement, particularly in small towns where everybody knows everybody: is it really possible to be an effective and unbiased police officer in the specific place where you grew up?

“I can't speak to the real world, but in film and television, the answer is a definitive no,” said Amell, prompting laughter. “You cannot.”

Haq chimed in, “if the goal for a police officer is to protect and serve, there's a nuance to that as well. Like, he can get the job done, but who is he protecting? Who is he serving? Who is this in service of? I think for the duration of our show, Henry is trying to answer that question. He’s saying, ‘my job is to protect and serve, but I also have to protect my family, and I have to protect the community. And if this one thing falls, it could have very serious repercussions for a lot of other things.’ So it's just him mulling that over. Sorry to jump in there.”

“No, you got it,” Amell replied.

But do the Tommys of the world ever really realize how their actions can put the Henrys of the world into horrible moral dilemmas that can have life-changing consequences?

“I'll take this one: no, they don't,” said Amell, prompting laughter again. “I don't think the Tommy character has ever thought further ahead than what he's going to eat for dinner that night.”

But Haq had a slightly different take on Tommy.

“I think the Tommys of the world are outsiders looking for a place to belong,” Haq said. “He lands in this environment through the foster system. I think he spends his entire life trying to figure out what his place is. He's in survival mode as a habit, to the point that I don't think he has the time or the tools to really think about his environment. He sees himself as outside of it, and everything that he's doing is him trying to become a part of it. But like a transplant that won't take, it’s as if the body is rejecting him, and he's just in this constant state of trying to figure out why. His instinct is always to run, even though it’s destroying him. So I think it’s a lose-lose for Tommy, and for me, a lot of the arc for the character was just trying to reconcile that, while maintaining a friendship with Henry, and oftentimes making questionable decisions.”

From all angles, there’s still plenty to wrestle with in the finale of THE BORDERLINE. Will anyone be left standing in that motel parking lot?
