MONTREAL (September 15, 2025) – CTV News Montreal announced today the debut of an all-new virtual reality set for CTV News broadcasts. The new studio will be utilized for each of the station’s local newscasts beginning today, including CTV NEWS AT 5 with anchor Maya Johnson; CTV NEWS AT 6 with anchor Mutsumi Takahashi; and CTV NEWS AT 11:30 with anchor Caroline Van Vlaardingen, as well as the 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. weekend newscasts. 

The newly modernized virtual studio environment reinforces CTV News Montreal’s commitment to delivering the most dynamic daily newscasts, with multiple modular screens to provide high-quality news graphics, video footage, live interviews, and more. The move to a virtual set is a first for CTV News and follows Noovo Info which went virtual in 2024.

Kelowna, BC (September 13, 2025) - Tonight, the Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) marked Canada’s biggest night in country music; the 43nd annual CCMA Awards presented by TD. Taking over Prospera Place in Kelowna for the first time, the 2025 CCMA Awards presented by TD showcased a powerhouse line-up of performers and presenters, celebrating the achievements of Canada’s country music community.

Josh Ross was honored as Entertainer of the Year and rounded out the night with a win for Single of the Year for Single Again, while MacKenzie Porter earned the title of Female Artist of the Year. The coveted Fans’ Choice Award presented by Bud Light went to Cameron Whitcomb, and the rising star also captured Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year presented by Birkenstock. Jade Eagleson claimed Male Artist of the Year, and James Barker Band took home Group or Duo of the Year, while Owen Riegling was recognized with the Ford F-150 Album of the Year for Bruce County (From The Beginning).

TORONTO (September 11, 2025) – Chaos comes to play another round as CTV Original competition series THE TRAITORS CANADA returns for its third season, Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, beginning Oct. 21, with extended cuts of each episode streaming next day on Crave. Award-winning actress Karine Vanasse once again presides as the cunning gamemaster, summoning 22 new Canadian players to take part in an electrifying and ruthless game of social deduction and deception, vying for the chance to win a cash prize of up to $100,000.

Twenty-two contenders are invited to THE TRAITORS CANADA manor to participate in gruelling challenges, both mental and physical, for the common goal of growing the prize pot with the hopes of claiming it at the end of the game. While all arrive as Faithful, not everyone stays that way as a select few are chosen to play the game as Traitors. SEPTEMBER 16 – LOVE ISLAND GAMES *Season 2 Premiere* 

 	Season 2 of LOVE ISLAND GAMES premieres Tuesday, Sept. 16. Hosted by Ariana Madix and narrated by Iain Sterling, the series brings together fan-favourite Islanders from various LOVE ISLAND series across the globe, including USA, UK, and Australia. TORONTO (September 10, 2025) – As Canadians gear up for the Season 11 finale of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, airing Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, and streaming next day on Crave, the network announced today the early renewal of Canada’s favourite summertime adventure for Season 12. Hosted by Olympic gold medallist Jon Montgomery, THE AMAZING RACE CANADA is set to welcome a new group of racers to the starting line when it returns in 2026, with casting details to be announced.

Astral was selected following a call for proposals to manage advertising on buses and transit shelters in Québec City.

The agreement will enhance the experience for RTC users by installing new digital advertising screens, modernizing heated transit shelters, and replacing customer information screens.

New Series Coming to CTV
