NOVEMBER 2 – HBO’s I LOVE L.A. *Series Premiere*   

 	From creator and star Rachel Sennott (Bottoms, Shiva Baby) comes a story of an ambitious friend group that navigates life and love in LA. I LOVE LA also stars Jordan Firstman, Josh Hutcherson, Odessa A’zion, and True Whitaker. Debuting Sunday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 p.m. ET, new episodes of the eight-episode season stream weekly until the finale on Sunday, Dec. 21 

 

NOVEMBER 2 – HARRY POTTER: WIZARDS OF BAKING *Season 2 Premiere*   

 	The series returns with even more spellbinding creations, enchanted elements and baking wizardry as a new field of competitors embark on the experience of a lifetime. TORONTO (October 28, 2025) – CTV News and Chief Anchor and Senior Editor Omar Sachedina are pleased to announce that journalist Lu Fan has been selected as the recipient of the annual Sachedina ∙ CTV News ∙ Fellowship, in partnership with RTDNF Canada and Massey College at the University of Toronto.

The Sachedina ∙ CTV News ∙ Fellowship program is designed to support an emerging journalist who will produce a substantial and original piece that will be considered for publication on a CTV News platform, and will explore a subject or theme that is significant to Canada and Canadians. Throughout the reporting process, the Fellow will receive academic mentoring from faculty at Massey College, and from the leading team of journalists at CTV NATIONAL NEWS. More information on the Sachedina ∙ CTV News ∙ Fellowship is available at CTVNews.ca. 

Born in China and now based in Halifax, Lu Fan is a journalist and documentary filmmaker with 14 years’ experience working across television and digital platforms. Her work has been recognized internationally, most recently with a nomination at the 2025 New York Festivals for the documentary “The Light Within Us”. Currently pursuing a Master of Journalism at the University of King’s College, she seeks to uncover in her work unconventional stories of everyday tragedy and triumph. 

“After the success of our inaugural year, we received a wide variety of exceptional submissions for the annual Sachedina ∙ CTV News ∙ Fellowship,” said Sachedina. “All of us at CTV NATIONAL NEWS, alongside RTDNF Canada and Massey College, are committed to supporting and encouraging Lu as she embarks on her major journalism project, which will challenge and enrich our understanding of the country.” 

“I am deeply grateful for this opportunity offered by CTV News, RTDNF Canada, and Massey College,” said Fan. “Many thanks are due to my professors at King's for their support. I am excited to unlock the valuable stories behind minerals critical to our way of life.”

“The story pitches from recent journalism graduates impressed the judges, and Lu Fan’s focus on mining critical minerals comes at a critical time for this country,” said Gina Lorentz, President of RTDNF Canada. “We’re thankful that talented new journalists have the generous support of Omar Sachedina and CTV News to produce compelling content.  	As baseball fever grips Canada, Crave presents the HBO Original three-part documentary series ALEX VS AROD, directed by Religion of Sports’ Gotham Chopra and Erik LeDrew. From the pinnacle of athletic success to the depths of scandal, Alex Rodriguez saw his prolific baseball career marred by a high-profile suspension for performance-enhancing drug use. Told through a series of intimate interviews with Rodriguez, ALEX VS AROD explores the dualities of one of the most polarizing figures in sports. NOVEMBER 7 – A COMPLETE UNKNOWN *Movie Premiere* 

 	New York, 1961. Against the backdrop of a vibrant music scene and tumultuous cultural upheaval, an enigmatic 19-year-old from Minnesota arrives with his guitar and revolutionary talent, destined to change the course of American music. Timothée Chalamet stars and sings as Bob Dylan in James Mangold’s A COMPLETE UNKNOWN, the electric true story behind the rise of one of the most iconic singer-songwriters in history. 

 

NOVEMBER 14 – ER *Season 1-10* 

 	Seasons 1-10 of the critically acclaimed medical drama ER land on Crave, Friday, Nov. 14. Originally premiering in 1994, the series explores the inner workings of an urban teaching hospital and critical issues faced by the dedicated physicians and staff of its emergency room. The pulse-pounding drama features new challenges each season, from exploring personal problems outside of Chicago’s County General Hospital to the political issues being raised inside.  

 

NOVEMBER 14 – Crave Original Series PROJECT RUNWAY CANADA *Series Premiere* 

 	PROJECT RUNWAY CANADA, the Canadian adaptation of the globally renowned fashion competition series, premieres on Friday, Nov. 14, with new episodes streaming Fridays until the finale on Jan. 16. NOVEMBER 20 – Crave Original Series CANADA’S DRAG RACE *Season 6 Premiere*  

 	Returning for its sixth season, CANADA’S DRAG RACE continues to feature top Canadian drag artists as they compete for the title of “Canada’s Next Drag Superstar” and a $100,000 grand prize. Each episode pushes them to their limits with singing, dancing, acting, impersonation, costume making, and improvisation challenges. Judy Reyes’ character in CTV’s HIGH POTENTIAL just might be the all-time dream boss in TV history.

“Wow, okay!” said Reyes, clearly pleased with the description. “The dream boss, even! I never really thought about it that way.”

Well, as is standard procedure in police dramas, let’s consider the facts.

In HIGH POTENTIAL – which airs its Season 2 fall finale on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 10 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, and streams next day on Crave – Reyes plays Lieutenant Selena Soto, a.k.a., the boss who decided to hire Morgan Gillory as a civilian consultant with the Los Angeles Police Department. Morgan, played by Kaitlin Olson, has an IQ of 160, and is a so-called “high-potential individual,” whose unorthodox thinking and keen observational skills have proved useful in solving complex cases.

But Lt. Soto bucks the normal stereotypes for bosses in police procedurals. Soto doesn’t fly off the handle. She’s clearly in charge, but she treats the people working for her with respect. They can talk to her. And perhaps most importantly, Soto isn’t grumpy all the time, which is so often the case with police bosses in countless other shows.

“Oh, thank you – I don't know what else to say to that, except that I didn't want that either, you know?” Reyes replied. “I need to really believe what I'm saying, and be able to relate it to whatever I think that experience is, emotionally or reactively. It’s not necessarily about not being emotional for Soto, but it’s about being in control, and being experienced, and her connectivity, being a woman in this space, where people really do respect each other.”

As for Soto’s lack of grumpiness, Reyes added, “I do think that she is under a lot of pressure. I never really thought of all the other bosses being grumpy, but I can see why they are. There's an enormous amount of pressure, but I think there's an enormous amount of levity, and possibility, that comes with having an element like Morgan, for example. I mean, Morgan's a genius, and she solves every case every week. So what are you going to do? What do you have to be grumpy about?”

At this point, Reyes was asked if she’s familiar with the old 1970s and ’80s TV series QUINCY, M.E.?

“I remember QUINCY!” Reyes said. “Jack Klugman!”

Well, there was a thing back then that TV writers referred to as “QUINCY syndrome,” which made fun of the fact that Quincy solved every case every week, but he had a grumpy police boss who never ever believed that Quincy was even remotely on the right track.

“Exactly,” Reyes said with a laugh. “We're just coming to the fact that Morgan is brilliant, and she’s tackling the hardest cases in town, which is, I think, a lot more interesting – or at the very least, its own thing.”

HIGH POTENTIAL is definitely its own thing, emerging as a breakout hit immediately when it premiered in the fall of 2024.

For Reyes’ Soto specifically, there has been a twist in her story in recent episodes that has led to some very interesting scenes and situations. Soto applied for a captain’s position, and she was clearly qualified for it. But she didn’t get the job, which instead went to a “nepo baby” – those were Reyes’ words – named Nick Wagner, played by Steve Howey.

As one would expect, Soto has handled this development with class. But in a moment alone with Morgan, Soto admitted in a calm but icy voice, “I’m pissed. It should have been me.”

In a less ambitious show than HIGH POTENTIAL, Soto would have broken down. But that’s not who Soto is, and her demeanour made the words much heavier and impactful.

“It absolutely did feel powerful, and I remember I thought it was really beautifully written,” said Reyes, whose vast acting resume includes series such as SCRUBS and DEVIOUS MAIDS. “It was a wonderful opportunity to create something that was its own thing with Kaitlin, who's a terrific, terrific actor. I related to it. And you're right, I think that the easy choice – I wouldn't say easy, I don't know how fair that is – but the typical choice, or the expected choice, is to make it weepier than it is. But that’s an old story. For me, and I'm positive for Kaitlin, and Javicia (Leslie, who plays Daphne Forrester), that's not how women are. You know that strength is its own emotion, and the way we were able to work off each other, it resonated with a lot of people.”

So what can fans of HIGH POTENTIAL expect from Lt. Soto moving forward, with a new captain, tough new cases every week, and the risk/reward factor of having Morgan involved?

“I think you just expect to see her handle it, continuing to be as good at her job as she has always been, handling what's unfolding before her,” Reyes said. “But then you just have to tune in to see how.”

In the first few minutes of IT: WELCOME TO DERRY, a young boy is hitchhiking in horrible weather. When a car pulls over and he gets picked up, the family inside the vehicle asks him where he’s headed.

His reply is both vague and hauntingly specific: “Anywhere but Derry.”

What happens next won’t be easily forgotten.

For anyone familiar with the world of acclaimed horror author Stephen King, the mere mention of the fictional town of Derry, Maine will send shivers down the spine. Premiering Sunday, Oct. 26 on Crave, HBO’s IT: WELCOME TO DERRY takes a deeper dive into the evil that exists there, serving as a prequel to the movies It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019), both of which are available on Crave and were based on King’s unforgettable novel It (1986).

IT: WELCOME TO DERRY executive producer Andy Muschietti, who directed both the recent It films, was asked during a media conference if it had always been his intention to continue this creepy story somehow.

“Not always – it started as we were finishing Chapter Two, and we were starting to feel like that was it,” said Muschietti, pun possibly intended. “I started having conversations with Bill Skarsgård (who is reprising his role as Pennywise the Clown). Together, we were sort of high on the experience, and just speculating about making the origin story of Pennywise. How did It become the Clown?”

King has acknowledged many times over the years that he has largely avoided answering the questions of “why” and “how” in his horror novels, because he finds it more scary if things are left unexplained. But according to Muschietti and his producing partner and older sister Barbara Muschietti, King is very open to having those questions explored in other media such as TV and film, by other creative minds.

“First we talked to Steve, that’s the first thing,” Barbara Muschietti recalled.

Wait a minute … you call Stephen King “Steve?”

“Uncle Steve to Andy, Steve to me,” Barbara Muschietti said. “We are so lucky to have this very loving relationship with him. He has trusted us with this incredible masterpiece. He gets excited by it, and he writes to us about it all the time. Without expecting anything, you wake up and you find an email from Stephen King, loving, you know, a blood explosion, or whatever we're doing.”

So what could Stephen King’s personal email address possibly be?

“I don’t know what it means,” Barbara Muschietti admitted. “I’m not going to say it.”

Stephen King’s email address aside, the author gave his blessing to the Muschiettis, who decided to set the main plot line in IT: WELCOME TO DERRY in 1962. There’s something about that era that always works well in a King-written or King-adjacent tale, with the surface-level innocence of small-town life contrasted with what’s happening down below – figuratively in some cases, literally in others.

“There is a reason why we're telling the story backwards, that you won't know yet, and we can't tell you, but it just felt exciting,” Andy Muschietti teased.

Setting the story in 1962 also allows for an intriguing “character crossover,” so to speak. King fans may recall the name Dick Halloran from King’s 1977 novel The Shining, and the 1980 movie of the same name (available on Crave). In The Shining, Dick is an older man with telepathic abilities who befriends young Danny Torrance, who is also telepathic. In IT: WELCOME TO DERRY, we see a younger version of Dick, played by Chris Chalk.

"We're discovering who (Dick Halloran) is, and playing with the audience's expectation," Chalk said. "Because he's such a gentle soul in the versions that you know, and it's just not that guy here. He's a human, and he's having a human experience, learning to live with devastating psychic powers. It seems cool until you realize everyone around you is depressed. Then it's not super fun."

What is super fun is trying to figure out what It actually is.

“Well, the only thing I can say to that is, I'm going back to the theme of faith,” Andy Muschietti said. “Everything we have faith in is something for this thing to take, right? So does it exist because we believe in it? Is that why kids see it so much, and they’re the prominent victims of this thing, because adults don’t believe in things that don’t exist? So it’s a lingering question. It lingers in the book, it lingers in our movies, it lingers in our show. Is It real? Or is it something that we create?”

TORONTO (October 22, 2025) – Bell Media, in partnership with Environics Analytics (EA), announced the launch of its new Outcomes Measurement solution for TV campaigns. This measurement product will give advertisers a clear, comprehensive, and privacy-first way to connect ad exposure to real-world outcomes including sales, leads, spend, and more.

By combining Bell’s premium First Party Data, fuelled by 22 million customer connections across more than eight million Canadian households, with EA clean room technology, advertisers can now accurately measure the return on ad spend (ROAS) of their TV campaigns. This new capability complements Bell Attribution Insights (BAI), which already enables advertisers to measure how TV drives website traffic via Strategic Audience Management (SAM).

In an early pilot campaign with Air Canada, audiences exposed to ads on Bell Media’s TV channels had a 24% higher booking rate than those who weren’t exposed, demonstrating how Sales Outcomes Reports connect campaign exposure to real conversion behaviour.
