MONTRÉAL (October 16, 2025) – Couche-Tard and RDS have teamed up to take the hockey fan experience to the next level. On now until Nov. 10, the Check In and Win! contest gives participants a chance to take home one of ten grand prizes of $10,000, along with hundreds of additional rewards throughout the campaign totalling more than $1 million. Every day, fans can visit a participating store to claim a free product without purchase, such as a slice of pizza or a surprise item, or unlock exclusive deals including buy-one-get-one offers on beverages and more.  

An Integrated Hockey-Themed Campaign 

Featured across premium hockey programming including HOCKEY 360, LE HOCKEY DES CANADIENS, and L’ANTICHAMBRE, the campaign features immersive brand integrations and customized activations designed to capture viewer attention at the height of engagement. As the new series BOSTON BLUE begins, and various iconic Boston landmarks are shown, an appropriate sing-along song blares: “The Boys Are Back” by Dropkick Murphys.

If the lyrics are to be believed, “the boys are back, and they’re lookin’ for trouble.” Well, Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, is definitely back, and while it’s uncertain if Danny ever actually looks for trouble, he regularly has a way of finding it.

Premiering Friday, Oct. 17 at 10 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV.ca and the CTV app, and streaming next day on Crave, BOSTON BLUE is a spinoff of the enduringly popular BLUE BLOODS, which occupied the same time slot on Friday nights on CTV for 14 seasons.

“We are incredibly excited about this show, and cannot wait to share it with the world,” Wahlberg said in a media conference. “We look forward to bringing faith, family, and tradition back to television on Friday nights at 10 p.m.”

Wahlberg is reprising his role as Danny Reagan from BLUE BLOODS, which was a family police drama set in New York. The twist in BOSTON BLUE is that Danny is presented with a compelling family reason to relocate to Beantown, even though he’s leaving behind the comfort of his widespread law-enforcement clan in the Big Apple.

The irony for Wahlberg personally is that he is famously from Boston, but he spent a decade and a half shooting BLUE BLOODS in New York.

“I was very comfortable in New York, I will say that – as a Bostonian, that's not an easy thing to say,” Wahlberg said with a chuckle. “Acting in the streets of New York, it became just a joy of mine every day on BLUE BLOODS. I can't tell you how much fun I had, no matter what neighbourhood, no matter what borough, I always had a great time. But you know, there is a fish-out-of-water element to this show, and for Danny, he is in a new place, he's used to doing things a certain way, and now he has people who push back on him, and say, ‘yeah, you can't do that,’ Generally he kind of gets his way, but now it's different. So I've indulged the differences.”

Wahlberg added, “in terms of working in Boston, we're filming in Toronto and Boston, and I can tell you, they're both a joy. But they're both taking some getting used to. I have never shot a series in Boston like this. I've never had to navigate all my relatives showing up, and people showing up … ”

Wahlberg then fell back into the hardcore Boston accent of his youth, and yelled, “Donnie, take a picture with me! Donnie, who’s your paaartnaaa?’ ”

The “partner” in question is Detective Lena Silver, played by Sonequa Martin-Green (STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, THE WALKING DEAD). Lena is part of a prominent Boston law-enforcement family that rivals the Reagans in terms of sheer numbers.

"I was very familiar with the M5 when I was shooting walkers (on THE WALKING DEAD), and (on STAR TREK: DISCOVERY) my gun was a phaser, and it could be on stun or kill, but I have never dealt with a Glock," said Martin-Green, referring to the weaponry in BOSTON BLUE. "I have definitely had to get accustomed to being on the ground, pun intended, and be this sort of real person. Not like Captain Michael Burnham (Martin-Green's character on STAR TREK: DISCOVERY) is not a real person, in a sense, but it is different. Like Donnie was just saying, I've been embracing the differences, not having to have such a rigid spine, if you will, and not having to save the actual universe all the time."

One refreshing element of the relationship between Danny Reagan and Lena Silver is that while they obviously have differences – which are played up for comic effect – they don’t fall into the cop-show cliché of constant bickering. It doesn’t take Danny and Lena long to recognize each other’s value, as both people and professionals.

"That's one of the things that sparked us both, me and Donnie, something that we both saw in the story, that there is this kindredness between the two," Martin-Green agreed. "They're from two very different places, but they're both from these law-enforcement families, and they both understand faith and family and tradition, they share in that. They sort of see themselves in each other. They understand each other. We thought that was so special, and something that we haven't really seen a lot in (police) partnerships, especially in budding partnerships in the beginning. We thought, what a lovely thing to have these people immediately connect, to have them immediately trust each other, and immediately respect each other."

In terms of overall respect, Wahlberg has high goals for BOSTON BLUE.

“I can tell you, from 14 years on BLUE BLOODS, I've met thousands of law-enforcement families, or people from law-enforcement families, who've said how much that show meant to them, and how much it means to see families like theirs represented on TV,” he said. “There are thousands of unique families all around our country, but having the chance to continue telling the story of a new law-enforcement family, it's a tremendous honour, and hopefully BOSTON BLUE lands with all of those law-enforcement families the same way BLUE BLOODS did.”

MONTREAL (October 10, 2025) – TSN, RDS, and the Montreal Canadiens announced today a landmark, long-term partnership ensuring Canada’s Sports Leaders remain home to Montreal Canadiens regional broadcasts for years to come. Under the new agreement, Montreal Canadiens matchups continue to be available to subscribers located in the team’s designated broadcast region on TSN, RDS, and streaming live through the networks digital platforms, featuring 50 games on TSN and 45 on RDS.

HBO has released the official teaser for the original half-hour drama series A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS during a panel at New York Comic Con. From the world of Westeros comes an endearing tale centered on the adventures of an unexpected duo. The six-episode season debuts Sunday, Jan. 18 at 10 p.m. ET on HBO and will be available to stream on Crave. New episodes will debut subsequent Sundays.

Logline: A century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. TORONTO (October 9, 2025) – Crave delivers heat that lingers long after the final buzzer blows when its new hockey romance series, HEATED RIVALRY, debuts with two episodes on Friday, Nov. 28. 

Created by award-winning Canadian writer-director-producer Jacob Tierney (LETTERKENNY, SHORESY) and based on the best-selling book series Game Changers by Rachel Reid, the six-episode, one-hour romantic drama tells the story of rival hockey players Shane and Ilya. What begins as a secret fling, ignites into an all-consuming blaze, and culminates in a powerful love story. The trailer for the series is available below.

“I wanted to bring Heated Rivalry to life and share its shameless, funny, epic, sexy, and deeply romantic journey with the world,” said Tierney. “When I first spoke to Rachel Reid, I told her I wanted to approach this book with the care and seriousness it deserves, because it truly does. Shane and Ilya deserve that. And so does the queer community, a love story complete with the kind of happy ending gay people almost never get in media." 

The first two episodes drop on Friday, Nov. 28, followed by one new episode on subsequent Fridays until the finale on Dec. 26. 

In HEATED RIVALRY, Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) are two of the biggest stars in Major League Hockey, bound by ambition, rivalry, and a magnetic pull neither of them fully understands. What begins as a secret fling between two fresh-faced rookies evolves into a years-long journey of love, denial, and self-discovery. Over the next eight years, the pair chase glory on the ice while struggling to navigate their feelings off it. Torn between the sport they live for and the love they can’t ignore, Shane and Ilya must decide if there is room in their fiercely competitive world for something as fragile and as powerful as real love. 

Williams and Storrie are joined onscreen by an ensemble cast that includes François Arnaud as Scott Hunter, Robbie G.K. as Kip Grady, Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh as Yuna and David Hollander, Sophie Nélisse as Rose Landry, and Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova as Svetlana.

OCTOBER 10 – KARATE KID: LEGENDS *Movie Premiere*  

 	After moving to New York City with his mother, kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang) struggles to let go of the past as he tries to fit in with his new classmates. When a new friend needs his help, Li enters a karate competition — but his skills alone aren’t enough. TORONTO (October 8, 2025) – Canada, the catwalk is calling! Crave Original series PROJECT RUNWAY CANADA, the Canadian adaptation of the globally renowned fashion competition series, premieres on Friday, Nov. 14, with new episodes streaming Fridays until the finale on Jan. 16.

Also announced today are the 12, talented Canadian designers set to sketch, snip, and sew their way through a series of challenges for their ultimate industry breakthrough.

As previously announced, PROJECT RUNWAY CANADA is hosted by renowned Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha, who also joins the judging panel alongside fashion media icon Jeanne Beker, and CAFA award-winning designer Spencer Badu. Providing designer mentorship is Vice Chair of the Council of the Fashion Designers of America, Aurora James. The exciting lineup of guest judges joining the panel each week is set to be announced soon.

Over 10 episodes, PROJECT RUNWAY CANADA brings some of the country’s most exciting designers together to compete in a captivating series of challenges, with surprises and twists along the way. The designers share their stories and unique runway creations as they compete for the title of Canada’s Next Great Designer,  from TD, a career launching investment of $100,000, and a coveted feature spread in an upcoming issue of Elle Canada magazine.

The series was filmed earlier this year at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) and produced in collaboration with Fashion at The Creative School.
