TORONTO (July 7, 2026) – The forecast is calling for more heat as Crave turns up the temperature when new romantic reality series TEMPTATIONS UNDER THE SUN: CYPRUS debuts with two episodes on Friday, August 7. With English audiences already tuning into OD: TENTATIONS AU SOLEIL, the #1 French-language reality series on Crave*, the one hour, 10-episode spin-off series follows 17 of Canada’s most daring singles as they face temptation, strategy, and unexpected twists under the Mediterranean sun. Click HERE for the series trailer. 

The series follows a weekly release schedule, with two new episodes streaming on subsequent Fridays until the finale on September 4.

TORONTO (July 6, 2026) – The unforgettable run of Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team at FIFA WORLD CUP 2026&#x2122; came to a close on Saturday afternoon, and Canadian viewers came together once again to support this history-making team, with an average audience of 5.4 million viewers on TSN, RDS, CTV, Noovo, and Crave, according to preliminary data from Numeris. 

Breaking viewership records, the Canada vs. Morocco match becomes the most-watched Canada match ever at the FIFA WORLD CUP&#x2122;, and the biggest non-Final match on record.  

Overall, 11.7 million unique Canadian viewers tuned in for some part of the match, which saw audiences peak with 7.3 million viewers at 2:41 p.m. ET as Canada searched for an equalizer. Streaming audiences continued to surge, with audiences up more than +500% compared to the Round of 16 opener in 2022.

Just like the rest of the planet, THE AMAZING RACE CANADA host Jon Montgomery has soccer fever, and it’s fair to say he’s putting some money on it.

Prior to the final Round-of-16 match at FIFA WORLD CUP 2026&#x2122;, on Tuesday, July 7 in Vancouver, Montgomery will assist in the official coin toss, as a Coca-Cola Coin Toss Assistant. Then later that same day, Season 12 of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA premieres at 9 p.m. ET on CTV (available next day on Crave).

“I'm a coin toss assistant!” Montgomery said excitedly in a phone interview. “On July 7 in Vancouver, myself, my wife, and my two little ones will be there as a family.”

He continued, “my wife and I were treated to an experience at the WORLD CUP in 2010 in South Africa, when we were in an adjacent country on a humanitarian mission with Right To Play, and got a chance to attend a game. Neither of us were soccer players, but we were blown away by the energy and the atmosphere. So this time we’re thrilled to be able to share it with our kids, and hopefully we can also showcase what just happens to be on TV later that night, for some more competition.”

Montgomery, of course, is a gold medal-winning athlete himself, having triumphed in the men’s skeleton event at the 2010 WINTER OLYMPICS in Vancouver. It was in 2013 that he signed up to host the rookie season of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, which has become a summer staple of Canadian TV viewing.

He was asked if it ever crossed his mind that hosting THE AMAZING RACE CANADA essentially would amount to a second career.

“No, I had no clue,” he admitted. “Back in that first season, I never allowed myself the freedom to have any expectation for a second season, because I didn't want to be disappointed. I loved it so much, I thought, ‘well, if I hold onto this too tightly, it's going to be really difficult to let it go.’ But you know, I don't feel as though I’ve had a career in tobogganing, or a career in television. It feels like a perpetually delayed attempt to reach adulthood and actually find a career. So I look at it as though I haven't quite gotten started yet. I’ve had a pretty good kick at enjoying myself thoroughly, so if it doesn't feel like work, I won't refer to it as such.”

But was there a time when Montgomery came to the realization that THE AMAZING RACE CANADA was going to be a long-running gig? Like maybe in Season 3, or 5, or 7?

“I don't know that there was ever a flash-of-lightning moment,” he said. “It's sort of like losing your hair. It happens very progressively, and you look at yourself every day in the mirror, and you don't always see that incremental change that's happening.”

Only Jon Montgomery would find a way to equate the enduring success of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA with hair loss.

He laughed hard at that observation.

“My metaphors are going to reach deep into the well,” he said. “You have to do some mental gymnastics to find out what the hell this man is actually talking about.”

Tackling the question more philosophically, Montgomery added, “from Season 1 to Season 12, which is just about to air, this show has continued to grow, but what never changes is the pride that I have in the fact that families watch it together, that it is literally scheduled family viewing time. I won't denigrate any other programs, but this is one of a small handful of shows that families can watch together. And not just for entertainment purposes or mindless escape, but for actual inspiration, and connectedness to your brothers and sisters, whom you need to collaborate with to do anything of value in this country. You can’t convince me that we aren’t doing a legit general public service, while at the same time entertaining Canadians. I believe that.”

And hey, not everyone gets to assist in an official coin toss prior to a FIFA WORLD CUP 2026&#x2122; game, so Jon Montgomery clearly has the gift for inspiring Canadians as well.

“Being part of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA has given me so much, and this is just another example,” he said. “A WORLD CUP game is such an awesome experience. You can’t help but be a fan of the energy. You can feel it everywhere. I can’t wait.”

Attracting an average audience of 5.2 million viewers on TSN, RDS, CTV, Noovo, and Crave, Canada vs. South Africa becomes the country’s most-watched non-Final FIFA WORLD CUP&#x2122; Knockout Round match on record, according to preliminary data from Numeris. 

Overall, 11.8 million unique Canadian viewers tuned in for some part of the match, which saw audiences peak with 8.2 million viewers at 4:53 p.m. ET as Canada midfielder Stephen Eustáquio scored the unforgettable goal to secure the win. On TSN platforms, live streaming audiences were nearly triple that of the first Knockout Stage match in 2022. The Canada vs. South Africa match also ranks as the fourth most-watched FIFA WORLD CUP&#x2122; match on record.

July 23 – HBO Max Original Series STUART FAILS TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE * Premiere*

 	Comic bookstore owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus), geologist friend Bert (Brian Posehn), and quantum physicist/all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie). Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we’ve come to know and love from “The Big Bang Theory.” As the title implies, things don’t go well. The 10-episode series follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes dropping Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.

 	On the night that British-born boxer Duke Kilroy (Howard Charles) becomes world heavyweight champion, a vicious assault leaves his brother, Calvin, dead. Duke is devastated and his reaction in the aftermath costs him eight years in a U.S. prison. Upon his release, and after having made a sinister discovery, Duke returns home seeking vengeance against the man he believes set him up -- the criminal kingpin and former promoter, Kingsley Marshall (Nicholas Pinnock). But Kingsley has vanished, leaving his children and wife, Joy (Deborah Ayorinde), who happens to be the love of Duke’s life, to pick up the pieces. A disgraced boxing champion is released from prison and returns to London to take revenge on the crime family that betrayed him. The new original boxing crime series executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson streams weekly on Fridays.

Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team made history yet again on Wednesday afternoon, advancing to the Knockout Stage for the first time ever. Canadians continue to enjoy every moment of FIFA WORLD CUP 2026&#x2122;, as Canada’s match vs. Switzerland attracted an average audience of 4.1 million viewers on TSN, RDS, CTV, Noovo, and Crave, according to preliminary data from Numeris, an increase of +147% compared to Canada’s third match at the 2022 tournament. 

Overall, 10.1 million unique Canadian viewers tuned in for some part of the match, an increase of +98% compared to Canada's third match in 2022. The match saw audiences peak with 6 million viewers at 4:55 p.m. ET as Canada looked for the equalizer late in the game. Additionally, streaming audiences saw a substantial increase, more than tripling that of Canada’s third match in 2022. 

The Canada-Switzerland match now ranks as the third-most-watched FIFA WORLD CUP&#x2122; Group Stage match on record.  

 

Audience figures continue to soar for Bell Media’s exclusive live coverage of the biggest FIFA WORLD CUP&#x2122; in history, and audience highlights from June 11-24 include:

JUNE 26 – HBO Original LIFE, LARRY, AND THE PURSUIT OF UNHAPPINESS *Series Premiere* 

 	From executive producers Larry David, Jeff Schaffer, and The Obamas’ Higher Ground, the seven-episode HBO Original limited series LIFE, LARRY, AND THE PURSUIT OF UNHAPPINESS premieres Friday, June 26 at 9 p.m. ET, with subsequent episodes streaming Fridays at 9 p.m. ET. Those who don’t know history…are doomed to watch Larry David repeat it. In addition to David, the series features select CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM actors and noteworthy guest stars.
